Release PPSSPP, Emulator for PSP

That's weird :(

I have full speed, look: lumine.png

I have Alpha Hack activated, Dynarec and Fastmem, and I disabled "Force 60 fps".

Try this version maybe (still unstable on video) (*edit* attachment deleted, obsolete version)

Hm, nope.

Same setings (and I even tried various different settings) and I can't get more than 6fps  for Lumines.

I guess for me it's the alpha hack that's not working, as enabling or disabling it doesn't change anything.

I also tried clearing my appdata, but no success.

Hum, ok. Yest that could be that. I'll look in the code better. I have still to master the new GUI code ;)

That is very odd.

I have recompiled the version, checked that Alpha Hack has check box has an effect (I have 20/30 fps without, and 30/30 with).

Note that I didn't use multithread in my test (don't know if that change something).

FrameBuffer is used, using the 1st option (the GPU option, that used to be the faster, is not fast anymore).

Here a new version (I just updated Alpha Hack a bit): PPSSPP.pnd

I've tried Lumines.

It's as slow as ED says.

Also if I choose the first buffered rendering, then it's on the left edge not fullscreen but much faster.

And again.

Tried Lunmines again and it's much faster with Buffered-Rendering enabled.

Now it's not shrinked down.

Same settings but loaded again.

Screen flickers a lot now.

Buffer to GPU makes things slower than non buffered.

Dissidia stays with 10 FPS, no matter what settings.

There's still the black square with buffered rendering.

With first setting of Buffered rendering (not CPU nor GPU), I have fullspeed with no blinking.

But it still doesn't look very stable anyway.

Also, on the experimental system setting, if I check multithread CPU + multithread IO, games don' t start anymore and I have to kill (using SSH) PPSSPPSDL.

multithread IO alone works.

Would you please post your settings.

What's enabled.

What are the parameters you use?

Maybe we should get the same conditions first.

I'll try it tomorrow then.

Ok, here are my settings.

The setting file is named ppsspp.ini and is located in appdata/PPSSPP/home

(I copy/paste everything exept sections [General] that doesn't seem relevent, and [Debugger], [ControlMapping], [Pad] [Keyboard] and [Recent]).

I've tried it and it works with Lumines :) .

Dissidia is not different than before.

So, new build on the repo.

It's not rock stable, and, oddly enough, this one like beta driver, especialy the latest version 4.08.00.02, for movies mainly (those drivers doesn't works well on many games).

Build 30

I tested yesterday Evening and found in first Trys no Speed Improvement.

Tomb Raider = work not

Mana Kemia = Is slow with differrent settings

Maybe someone should test, which Version is best for which Game.

I had no Freezes yesterday.

Dissidia012 tested i not yesterday.

Feelable are most Games very Slow in last Versions, something has messed up and i dont Think its your Fault Ptitseb :)

For me the best Version should be a Mix of that first Downscaling Textures Version and that Atrac+ Plugin for manager Khemia.

Well, Star Ocean 1 is now playable as well (Star Ocean 2 was before), but the movies are not properly scaled.

Ys - The Oath of something has the shadows issue fixed as well.

Both run basically fullspeed with sound, so it looks like all good RPGs are working pretty playable now.

I think I will stay with the last version and wait for more improvements. But anyway thank you ptibseb for your hard work :) .

I think I found a number of new options to fiddle with(?) At least I was now able to reduce the quality slightly (no pixel interpolation, and texture filtering I think) and now have Patapon running at an enjoyable speed. So I really like the new version :)

You can get Mana Khemia to run faster by adding the following cheat to /appdata/PPSSPP/cheats/ULUS10408.ini:

Code:
_S ULUS-10408
_G Mana Khemia Student Alliance
_C1 60 FPS
_L 0x2001C238 0x0E26C5AB
