Are you sure? I remember something about them being exposed on the display PCB.Unfortunately, the CSI lines on the Pyra SOC board aren’t exposed.

most web cams in laptops are small and are USB. grab a module from a busted laptop or buy a replacement one from ebay etc... something like this https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Laptop-...058484?hash=item523a65a634:g:2~0AAOSwhUVfMlYIMost USB cameras today are designed as webcams for use with desktop. I couldn't find any small enough to be suitable for Pyra.
That is my plan. I put in a request for a spare lid assembly to go out with my Pyra with the hope that I can fit in a laptop webcam.most web cams in laptops are small and are USB. grab a module from a busted laptop or buy a replacement one from ebay etc... something like this https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Laptop-...058484?hash=item523a65a634:g:2~0AAOSwhUVfMlYI
Well, only one lane of CSI is exposed on the extra B2B connector (which is not used/installed on the Pyra mainboard). There was a technical restriction why we were not able to add two or four lane CSI. Maybe a pinmux conflict with something else.I don’t see any documentation there, but I’d be willing to bet it’s MIPI-CSI2. Unfortunately, the CSI lines on the Pyra SOC board aren’t exposed. Unless someone managed to get under the SOC and safely tack onto the lines this isn’t gonna be compatible with current hardware. As well as this, the speed would have to be managed as CSI consists of high speed differential lines.
The only way I see us getting camera support with current hardware is USB camera.

Too big... And mainly too thick.Hate to necropost, but does anyone know why ED chose to use a proprietary daughterboard/motherboard system rather than use an existing standard like SMARC or Qseven?
ED had good reasons, as he prya is a one of a kind thing. My theory is that ED was tired of all the existing competing standards, and wanted to make a new one that would fit everyone's use case. Hooray for new standards.
