So, mupen64plus does not currently include gamepad input out of the box?
I have not received my Pandora yet so I was unable to test this. I only tested it on a Beagleboard.
Still, we are all very excited with your achievement. Thanks. :)

Top man SteveM. I look forward to trying your speccy pnd.
Thanks to a golden tip from skeezix, here it is:

http://www.cosam.org/computers/pandora/fuse-0.9.0.pnd

Hit F1 to enter the menu.

I added this to the Pandora appstore (yes, that name will be changing!).

My driver is hardcoded to use the Pandora controls but support broke because of changes in the kernel, Pickle picked it up I think.
I will release some generic input driver which makes any Pandora specific input driver redundant because other input plugins exist which allow you to use any normal USB Gamepad or keyboard device (including the Pandora keyboard). My generic driver just turns the Pandora Gaming controls into a USB Gamepad (via software) - that way other plugins can pick it up (and this is how it should have been done in the offical kernel already in first place).

//Edit: So it's a Yes, it supports USB Gamepads out of the box if you have the plugin (which are available [wether they are included in some PND floating around is another question]) and No, Pandoras game controls are not supported correctly atm but Pickle should be working on it right now.

Damn this is actually killing me! My order was in the first 1000 but when I needed the money I had to get a refund and my re-order is about 3000! How will I survive the wait!

GET MUPEN64PLUS!!

I want to cry.... I want one so bad!

I'd love to - but I don't know where.
Mupen64plus: http://bunnitude.com/ari64/mupen64plus-arm-20100402.tar.gz

Graphics plugin: http://code.google.com/p/gles2n64/

Input plugin: http://jayfoxrox.bplaced.net/content/pandora/public/PPSP-Input/
For a precompiled binaries look here: http://code.google.com/p/gles2n64/downloads/list

You'll want to grab 'mupen64plus 03042010.zip' at least (it contains the binaries and plugins). The other 'mupen64plus' binary is a newer version that can just be copied other the other. The 'pspp_input.so' is a hack that maps the A button to Enter and the B button to 'p'. Not sure how functional it is, haven't tested on newest OS.

Its still commandline based, type: mupen64plus <n64 rom filename>.

I'm guessing Pickle will make a pnd before me, I'm really swamped by uni + work at the moment.

Is there any way to change the mapping that ppsp_input.so maps the buttons to?

I'd like to see it working with a wired X360 controller.

I hope this is an isolated incident! My address has changed twice :-/

@Mupen64 devs - please note that I wasn't complaining or trying to imply that I expected that. I was really just wondering what I'd need to do when I get my unit. :D

On a semi-related note, does anyone plan to port the jinput linux libs over? If so then I won't have to, and I'd appreciate a heads up. That's really the only thing that I need to do to get my game running on the Pandora, AFAIK.

EDIT: @sinoth same here about the addresses. I hope they get mine right. =/

Woohoo! Turns out they screwed up and sent it to my billing address, so it arrived home just before I did! No, no review as yet, but maybe a new emulator port will make up for it? ;-) Here she is running the freshly compiled ZX Spectrum Emulator, FUSE. PND is in the works...

Now that is a sight to behold!

I'm excited about Oricutron too. Not sure how much Oric love you're likely to see on here, so I thought I'd chime in!

Another Oric lover!! GREAT!!

Did you know there is an active Oric scene at defence-force.org? They've been slowly producing new games for the Oric/Atmos hardware for years .. there's a new "Elite"-like clone (he doesn't want to call it Elite), as well as "Space:1999", an Isometric platformer based on the Space:1999 universe (its bloody excellent), as well as a few other neat things going on ..

I can't wait to get me some Xenon-1 and Zorgons Revenge action! :)

Cool. I haven't kept up with any recent Oric stuff - will have a look. Just had a quick go of Xenon-1 on the OSX version of Oricutron. Took me a while to remember why the cursor key positions I first tried didn't work right!
