Hello everyone,

For the first Pandora MK0 units we are looking for devs only. We especially want linux hackers or driver writers.

The aim of these first units is to make a really nice firmware for the first casual users and of course to find bugs.

We will make a loss on these units so we will only make as many of these as we need.

You will get full support and if your unit fails or there turns out to be a fault in the MK0 PCBs you will get a complete replacement Pandora. You will not get a substandard system in any way, we will make sure we take care of you.

You get to be some of the first people work with the cutting edge OMAP3 and be part of a unique project.

If you fancy it please email me with details of your plans and previous work via a pm or email via the board.

Thanks,

Craig

W00t! Good to see work continues, but I know I'm not linux savvy enough for this so I'll keep walking ;) Hope you guys got a nice touchscreen, nothing like that damn fpit touchscreen in my laptop (it works, but both windows and linux driver support is shite!)

If none of the units have been made, seems like we're still a long way off from the regular user's release.

Why do you say this? These are engineering prototypes. I get the impression that this is a bit different an offer than the 100 dev units they claim will go out.

Does this mean we'll be seeing more videos and snapshots around here, or is everything tightly sealed at present?
Yeah, it should be mandatory for those devs that get a unit to post a bit about their progress! We want behind the scenes info dammit! ;)

I sent a PM to Craig early this morning, but it doesn't show in my "sent messages" folder. Is that normal for this board, or has it not worked?
maybe you have not check "Add a copy of this message to my sent items folder " ?

Craigix do you prefer PM or email ? i have forgotten something

If it's important, I'd PM it, less chance of it getting eaten by an overzealous spam filter.

Hi Guys,

Do you have a list of what needs to be done?

I've ported Linux to several ARM SoCs and have worked various types of device drivers (on a 2.6 kernel). I guess that TI (via Montavista?) have supplied most of the drivers and it's mainly board specific drivers?

I've been busy porting homeworldSDL to ARM and have managed to build a binary to test, but I guess it's a bit early for getting a Pandora to do that.

We do have and have read all the PMs, will be answering them within a week, so don't be sad if you had not had a reply, we just need to work some things out :)
