yaay! the black ones look alright, very boxy though.

Boxy perhaps, but have you ever used a NeoGeo Pocket? Or more specifically, A NeoGeo Pocket Color Slimline (Japan only, I own one of these)?

They are wonderful systems, especially in terms of comfort and ergnomics. The GPX2 seems like a copy of that design, so I'm glad about that.

I like a black one. I hear alot of complaints that the white color of the GP32 makes it look too "playskool"

Just ask Skeezix what he thinks of white handhelds. Maybe now that this is black he will buy one and port castaway to it :)

Has anyone suggest on the gpx2 suggestions thing that they make replacement covers for these new units.

That would include the screen/clear bit (not the LCD bit)

That way you could also change the colour at the same time if you suddenly decide your a racist.

no word yet on whether we'd have to pay

Question: Will the emulators be free or commercial?

Dear customer

Thank you for your interest in gpx2.
Although we havent had concrete plan, there would be either way.

I dont think this answer goes with the question!

Or would it either way ;)

The black GPX2 looks best.

Guys, I just saw screenshots from a couple of Gizmondo games........
and each of them was 3D and each of them looked great, really great.

I just can't understand why the GPX2 has no hardware 3D acceleration.

Because it`s a media player first and foremost, With the added bonus that it can run other software, And it`s cheap too.

OT but where does Parasol Stars fit in the BB timeline?

back on topic, I think the media player capabilities are being underplayed somewhat

th eofficial gizmono screens are all faked btw.

oh, and i doubt gp could affort a real 3d chip, but you can for sure use the second core to do software opengl, should be fast enugh for most stuff.

Late for the party as always :(

I'd like to echo what most *reasonable* people have already said in this thread. Sure a faster processor and more memory would have been nice, but for that low pice it's difficult to complain. I'll be waiting a month or two after release to see how homebrew support develops, but if Reesy, Woogal et al jump on board I'm buying :D

or maybe gold... like actual gold... the element... AU... not that yellow that people call gold.
Gilded GPX2?

Damn right, that would look awesome, don't you think so?

Just imagine that on a GP32 or GPX2... I'm not the only one who thinks that looks good, am I? And if I am... you're all bastards. Grrrrrr......

Bah, gold's ugly. Now a metallic silver would be pretty cool though. However, I'll take whatever GPH gives me.

Shinneri... you bastard...

Yeah, I'll take whatever they give us too(unless it's a steaming pile of shit, in which case the color wouldn't matter anyway cuz I still wouldn't want it). I'll be happy if it at least becomes popular enough for all those websites that make and sell skins to make a gold skin for it. I'd rather not paint it if I can help it. I almost always end up screwing something up whenever I try to paint something. Either some stupid bug flies into the paint 2 seconds after I just painted it, a tiny hair mysteriously appears in the paint, or I accidentally touch it and leave a damn fingerprint. So I'd rather have it already made in a color I like. That way I won't have to take it apart and paint it, and I won't have to worry about the paint coming off later. If the case gets scratched, it's made out of plastic that's a solid color the whole way thru. I don't have a huge problem with black, I just prefer a lot of other colors over it(it depends on what the object is too. I like my Dell computer cuz it's black, and when I bought it, most PCs were white).

No more Gamepark website... http://gamepark.com/

Translation...
While constructing present time it connects there is not a basic page to the site. The RAID of Ub there is a Chinese-Japanese possibility of doing.

Try again afterwords. When the problem is continued, inquire in the web site manager.

It appears we'll learn about the XGP pretty soon. :)

Chrome would be okay, but silver would look better, I think. For some reason, I don't like stuff that is THAT reflective. It's like a friggin' mirror.

Oooh, I like that yellow. Any of those colors would be good except for chrome, unless they release others too cuz I really dont' like chrome.

Well, it IS plastic, so I don't see why there'd be a problem with it looking like plastic.
