Farmville

PS: SomeGuy- that was truly an amazing story. Just for your vocabulary you deserve several Internets.

I find myself rather edified, by your unequivocally gracious sensibility my good gent. That the breadth of my vernacular does impresses and bedazzle should not be the object of my consideration.

... and?
What is your point exactly? The Pandora is not designed to directly compete with the ipaidtoomuch iPod range. It has it's own market. If you like the iPod more, then get one. We really don't give a shit whether or not it can play Farmville, but if you do- go right ahead.

We'll just be over here with our glorious Pandoras!

PS: SomeGuy- that was truly an amazing story. Just for your vocabulary you deserve several Internets.

Woah, relax dude. Im thinking about getting one not just to play farmville, i was just curious.

It was just pure luck that the farmville app got released on the ipodtouch

***DISCLAIMER*** The following statement will offend teenagers who see social networking through facebook and the like as anything other than an oxymoron *DISCLAIMER***

GET OFF FACEBOOK! Before the entire world (read: anyone who has internet access) started using the internet for frivolous bullshit that didn't even involve low budget pornography, you may have been one of the promising few that would better mankind. You could've cured cancer or discovered an alternative to burning fossil fuels as an energy source. But instead, you choose to expand your "social network" beyond the capabilities of your mind by removing all physical human contact from the equation. Now, you spend all your time and cognitive resources updating your facebook page and twittering your mundane, pedestrian daily events to pass the time that might have otherwise been better spent studying.

"Studying what?" you might ask since your over-stimulated and e-addled mind may have lost track of the point of this post. Well, anything. Horticulture, holistic m e d i c i n e, how to make embroideries of fruit bowls. ANYTHING would've been better than spending your time facebooking and twittering and texting all the people in your over-sized circle of douchebags. Instead of embracing the technology that was invented to enable the human race to communicate important facts and information and improve us as a species, you have become part of the de-evolution of man by subscribing to its bastardization.

May god have mercy on your soul and the souls of the stupid.

P.S. Farmville sucks. And now that it is an iSomething app, you can dumb yourself down 24 hours a day. Wherever your are. Yay! Dont ever procreate.

EDIT: The boards spam filter doesn't like the word m e d i c i n e. Probably because people who use teh Facebook and Myspace before it, think that this community of large penised, tech savvy sex machines might entertain the idea of taking pills to make their dicks bigger and actually pay heed to their misspelled attempts at marketing dong enhancement tablets. Wrong, dick pill peddlers. Wrong.

Wrong. People who use facebook and the internet in general for frivolous bollocks have no intention to do any of the noble things you list, and before they started spouting frivolous bollocks on facebook they were doing something equally frivolous somewhere else. What makes you think these frivolous people actually could be anything else anyway? They're the vast majority of the population and always have been.

Facebook is just a tool, and quite a handy one to collect together and keep in touch with acquaintances. Sure, people use it for inane stuff, but that's not exactly the fault of the website. I think it fulfils some kind of general human need to gossip and share boring stuff nobody cares about but you wish they would.

As for Farmville... it's just Sim City or Harvest Moon really - both of which are respected games. It beats playing Solitaire for the hundredth time right?

It amazes me that people get upset about stuff like this.
As if updating your facebook status a lesser pursuit than posting on a forum about how updating your facebook staus is a worthless waste of time.

I joined facebook just to set my status as 'people who moan about people getting upset about people who use facebook should get a life'. That's quite close to division by zero as I think we'll get. I might find the Higgs-Boson before the LHC at this rate.

If you joined Facebook just to say that, you need to get a life.

Yeah! I've with Unfathomable Depths (not in the biblical sense, I leave that to you :)) on this one...I think.

SG99 - Are you moaning about a person that ... enough already.

And just for the record. I thought GG was rather sensitive about his problem. :p Although we're on the same side as far as Facebook/farmville are concerned.

I suspect he has one. Besides which, I have it on good authority that he has impeccable taste in web forums.

Breaking News

Earlier today, scientists working at the Bondringer Research Facility for Universal Integrity made a public statement about bizarre irregularities recorded in the space time continuum. According to Dr David Foster, the leader of the project, today has been an eventful and chaotic moment in history... well it would have been were you a sub-dimensional particle. For those of us living in this universe, nothing at all seems to have changed, but Foster and his team claim that the whole of reality actually broke and reformed, if only momentarily:

'Our team is primarily responsible for tracking and monitoring changes in Gruslet particles and SomeWaves. Today we witnessed something completely unprecedented and startling - all at once, and in perfectly synchronisity, the Gruslets and Somewaves collided into each other for no obvious reason. The source of the disturbance seems to have originated here on Earth, but we calculate the the shock-wave extended quite rapidly across the entire universe.'

Gruslets and Somewaves were the theoretical proposition of the esteemed scientist Jason Boombin, who suggestion that all matter and forces of the universe were dictated by a perfect balance of order and chaos. Boombin theorised that reality itself was composed of his self-described interdimensional 'poombits', the interaction of which would stablise the consistency and order of the universes in which they traverse. In his seminal paper 'Poombits: How the Universe makes sense' Boomin proposed that the opposite idea would also hold true: that disruptive moments in logic and sense could actually displace the universal order of reality, maybe even destroy it.

Sadly, Boombin didn't live long enough to see his theories and ideas ratified and widely accepted by the scientific community. Today, Gruslets and Somewavs are regarded to be the best explanation for the nature of our universe. The Bondringer Research Facility for Universal Integrity was established back in 1994 to provide further investigation into the elusive 'poombit sphere-carpet'.

'We need to analyse this data further, but the implications are staggering! We recorded that the entire poombit-fabric destroyed itself and was rebuilt in almost an instant. We don't currently understand how or why this happened, or the mystery behind the regeneration. All I know is the entire scientific community is buzzing over what this might mean.'

Over the apparent cause of the disturbance, Foster is equally puzzled:

'We have no idea. It would have to be some kind of break in logic - some event or moment that made absolutely no sense at all. But that still doesn't quite explain it... it would have to have the pattern of a shell-rupture-spasm, that is several layers of illogical moments in cascade.'

Members of the public are currently being asked for anecdotal data in order to track down the anomoly. If you think you can help, please submit your story at www.bondringer.org/poombit.

R.I.P. Jason

He will be missed at www.actionfigures.com/starwars/forum/collectables

He had a pristine boxed rocket firing Boba Fett.

Yeah, but did he have a Facebook page?

For all I know you're a figment of my imagination.

In an infinite universe you are definitely a figment of another version of myselfs imagination. And there are an infinite number of us.
