Release Diablo

Another reverse engineering project was just released:
Ah, a reddit link, mangled by the forum software: for anyone having trouble seeing it. it's
Code:
https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/8s7wyr/
and it points here: https://github.com/galaxyhaxz/devilution

That seems to be based on various symbolics leaks though, so I don't know how long it'll be around.

This isn't really relevant for Notaz's Diablo release, it's more of a port request really, but thanks for the information regardless.
well, it might help notaz, e.g. by combine work of both, or substituting parts of each other - as you said info.

I quickly tried that DevilutionX on the Pandora: it works fine, everything is there, but it doesn't add anything compared to notaz version. Worse, you loose all the finely tuned setup for the Pandora, like the fullscreen/4:3 ratio switch or the Touchscreen handling. So while it works fine, current notaz version is still better.

yes, looking into the source code, many things are still hardcoded - yet, recent commits show that the work progresses to overcome this - at one point in future I guess abritrarily resolution and aspect ratio will be possible.

update regarding the devilution reverse engineering project: they reached just feature completeness with version 1.0 (https://www.gog.com/forum/diablo/devilutionx_100_gamepad_and_60fps_happy_new_year/page1)

additionally they added: - FPS > 20fps unlocked, touchscreen support, upscaling, support for all kinds of handhelds...
ongoing work: support for hellfire, wide-screen support, upscaling of the content...
Motorola 68k fork of Devilutionx running on a Vampire accelerated Amiga has seen some good speed increases too..
