Here i am.

Had that wish a long time ago, the day finally come.

So what i'm looking for:

-LED

-800x480, or more

-Small, about the same size than the OP

-S-video and composite input

-No multimedia/card reader, if possible

-Integrated battery with decent battery life (>3h), and possibility to be powered by the OP through USB port

I like these things, not actually seen one IRL though

you might find this page useful as you can select a whole load of them and compare up to 10 of them against each other

http://www.projectorcentral.com/popular-pico-projectors.htm

4 of them are pico, this filter:

http://www.projectorcentral.com/parts_compare.cfm?pid_1=5404&pid_2=5403&pid_3=6065&pid_4=6407

Those 4 meet your 800x400 or more requirement.

S-video yes, not sure about composite, not sure about card readers, not sure about battery life, so will have to read up more on each model if you interested in any of them

Thanks for infos, so i'll add those twos:

Optoma Pico PK301 , http://www.optomausa...tail/Pico-PK301

20 to 50 lumens (with extra battery pack)

45 to 1h30 (!), but 5h with extra pack in eco mode.

Favi E3-LED-PICO , a bit more expensive , http://www.favienter...e3-led-pico.htm

20 to 50 lumens

1h30, can be plugged to USB, but i don't know the current draw.

I'm on a 250 € budget.

Well, not doing much more than gaming and watching movies where and when i want.

:)

edit: Like Ekianjo stated, the use you are going to take, is mandatory on a safe decision, on my case, other then playing kof 98 on the wall, I would probably try to have it going for work, and the lamp life is a strong issue for me :(

I always find that ridiculous on projector with non user replaceable battery... 20000hours with a 2hours battery? that's 1000charge... I doubt your projector will work nicely at that point...

I get your point, but my case is not for a on-the-go stuff. I planned to use it at home, no batteries.

It is really hard to find a usefull one (specially for on the go).

It seems companies offer something good but take twice on the other hand.

sounds like fun.I saw a small projector in a shop the other day.dunno if i would use it enough though if i had one.

Don't go for the ShowWX - I only got it working through composite.

The PK301 is a really nice pico projector. I persuaded my uncle to get one for making presentations in Botswana.

ShowWX is laser, and some people reports that it can harm the eyes, so i'll safely choose LED.

Anyway, i'm fine with composite only.

A video of the projector running on the pandora playing a game would be cool if you get one and have the time.Giant sized streetfighter 2 anyone?

Doh... could've sworn it said s-video... it's hard to find devices with s-video input... but gosh does composite tend to look horrible for old games on new TVs.
