As i've resumed the work on Slackware -current, i'm also rewriting parts of SOLEIL's build system in order to be more clean, versatile and also tuned on -current x86 32 and 64 bits.
I'm impatient to add some of the untold killer features, but i have some more cleanups to do.
The next good thing will be distcc 3.x, which makes the compilation cluster up to 10 X faster.
For information, compiling a kernel directly on a 1GHz unit takes approx. 3 hours. With the old distcc, using 6 x86 cores, i went down to 36 mn. So next numbers should be even lower.
