    How About A Competition?

Well, I kind of thought the competition was meant to help people get going with the Pandora early on, so having a competition that lasts 'till june isn't much help, is it? It should rather be a short timeframe, like from now 'till the point where the first 100 Pandoras are ready to be released...

    Pandora Logo?

I've never thought about that, but yeah! You're right! The pads should be the same colour as the unit itself, but keeping the borders a light grey or white.

    Pandora Logo?

Ah! Thanks for that. You didn't express yourself quite as thoroughly in your first response and I assumed that you were referring more generally to antiquity and elegance rather than going "deeper" into it. No, I didn't expect something like boxes, I was looking for something that was based on...

    Pandora Logo?

I can absolutely agree that there are enough boxes by now, but I would like to see something that actually has a thought behind it as far as what it means to the Pandora's name and use, otherwise, it's just a pretty piece of graphic. It IS pretty, though.

Heeeey, what about my idea to change it into the POP rather than Pandora?! HMMMM?!?!

    Pandora Logo?

Ooooh, nice work, Eolair! Tell me, what are your ideas/ reasonings behind the logo? EDIT: Um, the width of it is well within the limits of the Pandora. I do find that 90% of the sites I visit take up way too much space up top, though, so I agree in the vertical sense.

    Pandora Logo?

Oh, also: Not the poster's avatar. Rather a companion image for the newsbit, like on the gp32x site.

    Pandora Logo?

Looks very nice. However, I think that you should try switching the main "frame" with the menu frame on the left so that the important stuff, the news, comes first. An "about" link at the top would probably be appreciated by new visitors as well. However, it looks very very promising. The...

    Will You Buy It Now?

Of course, I don't KNOW this, but I would assume that you're right about MWeston designing it but that Craig is also the one contacting and negotiating with suppliers of hardware parts and the like aside from the marketing.

    Pandora Logo?

Evilwallpaper: That box design is highly enjoyable, I must say. The text looks good, too. Could use a little work on the spacing between the letters, but that's nitpicking. It reminds me of something I've seen before... I can't remember what, though. I can't overstate just how impressed I am...

    Why Not Just *run* Debian?

I have to agree with Bagel in this case. His post was entirely on the level. I know he is sometimes... less than courteous, but you can't let that affect your view of absolutely everything he says. No wonder he's so angry all the time if this is how he's treated when he contributes properly to a...

    800x480...more Common Than I Thought

I had a quick look at an iPod Touch at an airport not long ago, and I would say that the iPod Touch and the iPhone have a huge bonus in browsing ability from the multi-touch screen. It was surprisingly comfortable to browse with considering the low resolution of the screen, a resolution that is...

Extra Headphone Jack On The Side

As far as adaptor/ers go, the more you add, the more you degrade the quality of the data passing through them. Not that it's likely a huge issue for mp3 sound, but it's worth mentioning. My Klipsch Custom 1 buds have a 90-degree connector, which, like someone else said, makes the whole issue...

    800x480...more Common Than I Thought

I'm pretty sure he meant Inches. And I'm not so sure it's 16:9, actually. However, I can't back that up as I'm too lazy to research it and I've forgotten how to calculate aspect ratios because my mind is inferior. EDIT: the ratio of the Pandora is 15:9 or 5:3, if you will.

I really like the design of that opening box, Alex. A different font, and it's a great overall design.

    Pandora Logo?

The clover-like logo seems to be an abstraction of the hash logo he also explored. Incidentally, it was that clover combined with someone else's comment on it symbolising the openness of the Pandora that gave me the inspiration for the design I posted. Not necessarily an improvement, but a...

    Pandora Logo?

This one, while the best use of p&|a I have seen yet, is kind of drab and corporate-looking. I like the idea, but it lacks "pop", if you know what I mean.
