ZXIEUS:you're on dude!
OK-so possibly mid country.when would be the best time to hold it?Saturday obviously but what's good for you all out there-we will have to see what date suits most dudes who can make it.

Birmingham is good.

Question : is it only adults that go cos im 13, and i dont wanna be left feeling like a weirdo

from the poll on ages, most of us are below 18... although the people turning up will proberbly the 18+ people, provided its not somewhere too far away and a date i cant go I'll definitly go...

may I suggest date-wise... not near any exams due to Uni people and school people... so between now and May or after July...

and birmingham sounds ok to me, its not THAT far from me and easily get there on the train, unless I've passed my driving test by the time the meet is in which case I'd proberbly drive :)

ok you fannies - bring on the beers !

are you going cheeseman ? we need to meet buddy boy !!

edit - shit are u all under 18 ??? this is REALLY GEEKY. i can't do it straight/sober etc.. it's gotta be a pub with a sneaky spliff.. maybe we can get you all in the garden......

how many people do you reckon would turn up ? there's always my house, it's a fair size - i'm down south - garden should fit you all in and no problem then with age stuff !

and if any of you fannies are travelling down from up north/scotland etc - just get hammered, crash over - go home the next day... job done

Well.... some of us are...

Myself now included as of November - but I don't think there were any age restrictions last time. Nor, unless no-one told anyone else, anyone who didn't get served.

I think there was a poll of GP32 users, and most of us came out as between 20 and 30 (I was one of a few below that). Aaaaages ago, though, so it might be worth repeating...

BTW: You know that VGA adapter someone had a photo of? I wonder if we could get hold of one of those and plug it up to a projector to actually see what's going on with the tournaments... Probably, not, but its an idea. Who actually has the thing?

I'll come! Well... if after October I'll be in Bath most likely, else back down in the rotten South West. Saturday is my work day but whatever, I can skip it.

COOL!

:p

Nice to see interest in an event which went down very well last year! It's a good idea to start the debate early, so we've got LOADS of time to sort it out. Would be cool to have it in the summer this time, so the travelling would be easier becasue of the long days.

Birmingham sounds great to me, though it'd be good to get as many people's opinions as possible....

Maybe this year we coukd tie it in with an event, like a few people suggested last year? Just a thought. Thing is, having our own venue is a lot cosier, and it's easier to arrange/stay together/make it more of OUR event etc.

id possibly be interested, depends on where it is since im up in scotland, also did the pics from the last one ever get put up anywhere apart from the few in gp32 zine?

Sorry about that! With the best intentions in the world, my life just got the better of me in September (moved house etc!). If the general concensus is still that people would like to see the pics, I can get them online reasonably quickly.

Also, in regard to the video I took that day, somebody activated the night vision on my camera, so it all ended up being all weird and grey... Still watchable though, so I may bung it on DVD and send it to anyone if they are interested.

I really hope that the 2004 event is as much fun as the 2003 event was. This year is pivotal in the GP32's future, and I think that showing this sort of support can only help!

Cheers to you all, and see yas at the 2004 meetup (whenever and wherever it happens :)

I'm definately up for it, live in the west-mids so can get preety much anywhere. Gutted I missed the last one, only found out about the machine because of the free zine from lik-sang, should be getting my machine on thurs/fri, can't wait!!!! :D

I would love to do it, last time was a definate blast! Money is a problem though, I was lucky enough to actually have money at the time, so I could afford a planeticket there, now, I'm broke.

I wish you a great meet-up though, and Ax, take lot's of pictures! What ever happened to your Copenhagen trip, btw?

Cheers,

Yeh this time Im def coming last time the early trains were all booked so cud ave only got there for an hour then wud have had to get train back!
This time Ill book early, rlly look forward to coming!
I think summer is the best time to hold it nice GP32 summers day gaming sounds cool!
Also I think somewhere in the middle of the country like Leicester wud b good that being the fairest way for all I think.

all sounds good but by that time I'll have probably left England.

Never mind, I might try to form a meetup in Australia :D
