Mame Gp32 1.0 Download!!!

Gauntlet II can't be repaired unless you have the necessary means to dump your own board. Fact.

gauntlt2.6p was completely removed from the set if I understand correctly.

Oof, this hurts. :(

Super Sprint and Championship Sprint, exactly the same situation.

Very nice MAME port though! Just a shame I can't play much on it.

Well i've been testing more and more

1942 works very well and is very fast as is Jailbreak !

Kung Fu Master also works well

Cant get Bubble Bobble or Bobble Bobble working.

Got Terra Cresta working (pot luck really, just put in both my TC files) but too slow really.

Many many good games though, excellent Franxis !

having soooo much fun with this it is awsome!!

I have one suggestion franxis - if you read this!!

flip screen mode is the best touch as it brings the original scale back!!!

But in flip screen mode - it would be geat if start could be made the fire button for shooters!!!

then galaga would be perfect!!!!

I'd also love an option to swap the functions of the A and B buttons over. Tried playing Bubble Bobble and it works fine (though VERY slowly, and my original GP32 resets itself if I try to set the speed above 133 MHz) but the jump and fire buttons are the wrong way around -- jump needs to be on the right.

I can only get 1942 Tetris Berzerk Supre Breakout and Bionic Commander to work when ever I try to get any other games to work they don't work besides bubbubl but that has protection so it doesn't work correctly

i'v downloaded some games 1 worked so far the others dont even come up :(. also it is confusing which game goes in which emu. i had to look in all my mame emus to find that the game doesnt even work :(. but hey as long as somegames work got to stay happy.

also if some one could make the games list and say which emulator the game goes in would be great. :D

Absolutely none of my roms are working apart from Klax.

The rest are missing so many files, due to the changes between 0.93 and 0.34

Oh well.

Nope, can't be, I used a complete 0.91 set and are only missing 10 roms for 0.34.

Follow these instructions and you should be fine:

1. Create an empty directory (this will be the directory where your GPMAME roms will be in the end)

2. Open clrmamepro (the LATEST VERSION!)

3. Add the datfile from GPMAME. Then select LOAD / UPDATE.

4. Settings: Just change the rom path to the created empty directory.
It will moan that no sets are found there, which is okay (as we don't have any sets in there yet)

5. Select "Scanner". You don't need to change any settings, just be sure "Split Sets" is selected. Press the "Scan" button.

6. It should scan fast, as in the roms directory, there's nothing in yet.
See the "Scan Results" window? Leave that open!

7. Now use the Windows Explorer to open the folder where your MAME roms reside.
Select ALL zips and drag them into the Scan Results window.
clrmamepro will now begin rebuilding 0.34 sets in the empty directory.

8. After it's finished, your GP32-ready roms are in this directory :)
Yay :)
But: You can delete ALL roms which are larger than 6MB (GP MAME doesn't support them) and ALL Neo Geo roms...
Now copy these games over onto your SMC and enjoy playing :)

BTW: If you want to add new roms, just do "Scan" again and drag the new roms into the Scan Results directory.

grrr, this is so fucking frustrating, i tried doing everything you said EvilDragon, but I can't get anything to work. I'm trying to convert commando, everytime i drop it into the scan thing, i can't figure this out at all, i got it to scan so it list everything that is supported.

Can anybody write up a tutorial for 1 game, like commando, from start to finish to get it to work. I'm sure if i can get one game to work i won't have a problem with the others.

EDIt: in the blank folder you state to create, when i drop the zip into the scanner, it puts another zip into the blank folder, is this correct?

I'm having trouble with battle zone (bzone.zip). Which fxe whould you play it under?

Edit: Also, does it require any other files besides bzone.zip?

You're probably missing a parent set.

Usually, you need the parent set to play games.
All the other sets depend on the parent set, if you don't have it, it won't run.

I have commandj.zip, commandu.zip, commando.zip and commsega.zip
Commando runs fine on my GP32.

I don't know which set of these is the parent one, but I THINK it should be commando.zip or commsega.zip
If you miss one of them, it won't find all the roms.

But secondly, commando is no longer in the scan results. is this because it's fine? Are the roms supposed to be zipped?

GGWWWAAAHHAHAHAHHH I GOT IT TO WORK...THANKS EVILDRAGON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Parent sets? I don't get it. You mean you have to have all of the variations of the game to run it? Do you have to put all sets in one zip or folder or will they find each one individually?

Theres usually only one parent, and most of the time that one works

Of course sometimes the parent is not what you want, so you throw on the parent and the one you want

basically its to save some space here is Bobble Bobble, previously mentioned, it's only got three roms different from Bubble Bobble, so the zip only has those 3. I think in this case you might be able to put all the roms in one zip, but I could be wrong

I don't think you need commsega.zip. I'm pretty sure it's a different game.
It runs on mnamco.fxe give it a try!

How can it be confusing what games work or dont work ?

On a MAME thread he wrote the other week he had a link to his website

http://www.talfi.net/gp32_franxis/

Then on his website he had this link for games....

http://www.talfi.net/gp32_franxis/mame-gamelist.txt

I simply look on the list of games, find the filename of certain games then download/get those. Then i try it with the emulator, sometimes they work othertimes you dont (have to do that clrmame.dat thing then)
