I noticed something about the Great Ace Attorney Chronicles. There was an option for 'autoplay', to skip gameplay entirely. I guess this isn't particularly distressing for a visual novel, but back when this series first debuted, it was thought of more as a lawyer sim than a visual novel by Americans, simply because we didn't have the term 'visual novel' back then. People actually thought the gameplay was cool.

I mean, I'm getting off topic here, but this isn't confined to just VNs. Games like Red Dead Redemption and The Witcher 3 have the option to skip combat too. It's not that I'm worried that people are forgetting what video games are about, I'm more worried that video games as a genre are dying, especially single player. People who would play by themselves would rather have kinetic VNs than games.

I dunno, I'm probably just too focused on the wrong things.

After i though about my Gaming Needs, i decided that the Pyra was my only Handheld i bought this Year, so i canceled the Switch OLED,
I have the Lite because its much lighter for Handheld Use than my Release Switch, so why should i buy another heavy Switch when i dont need the "Switch" Part?? ..
This means no Switch Oled Video on my Chanel, but well, as it would be a Nintendo Content i would make it in German, so the Pyra Boards wouldnt understand it anyway..
more screentime for Pyra Content ^^

I have to give Switch credit though, at least they're available for purchase.

Part of the reason I think video games could die is that most of them rely on hardware that simply isn't available. PS5, XSX, graphic cards, all in short supply...

I think the Switch is available because i canceled my Switch OLED Preeorder ^^, My blue Switch Lite is nice to use and nice to look at, allthough somethimes i would wish it had some sort of vibration (Snowrunner), After i bought the Switch, i ditnt used the New 2DS XL much which is a shame as it was also not that old and i bought Wario Ware Gold not that long ago ..

Nintendo is having another Indie World showcase tomorrow at noon Eastern.

Indie gaming is weird. They all have publishers now, even though half of the games are digital exclusive. In Nintendo's case though, they've stopped accepting direct submissions to the eShop, so you kinda need a middleman. At least Steam will still let you submit any combination of ones and zeroes for a modest fee.

Where exactly are you getting this "stopped accepting direct submissions" information. Do you mean, if you didn't develop your game using the official way? https://developer.nintendo.com/web/development/home This page appears to still be relevant.

Everybody is Welcome

No development experience? No problem! We're here to help you regardless of your level of experience in game development.

Self-Publish your Game

Once your game is complete, you can self-publish it on the Nintendo eShop with the price and release date entirely up to you.

The latest news there, from March 25 of this year, regards mostly that the 3DS and Wii U development is not accepting new developers (ones that don't have dev gear already). It does mention that once registered on the dev portal your game applications may take awhile to process. But that's all.

I wish I were more excited for Metroid Dread. I actually beat Zero Mission back in the day, but didn't really get into Fusion. It's actually kinda interesting how influential Zero Mission was for a GBA game, giving us the Zero Suit Samus we all know from Smash.

I’d hate to think that Nintendo’s upgraded Mii system is just going to go to waste on Miitopia. We still need a Tomodachi Life sequel, darn it. With LGBTQIA and F and S, the last two of which will be necessary for my Crash/Spyro hookup.

There’s a Pokémon Presents stream tomorrow at 9 AM ET. Considering how much they already have in the pipeline, I doubt there’ll be anything truly new. They just launched Pokémon Unite, with Diamond and Pearl coming this holiday season and Pokémon Legends: Arceus launching next year.

Instead of the Switch OLED, i ordered the Original Nintendo Switch Lite Flip Case, i wonder how much better it will be from my third Party Flip Case...
The First Party Flip Case is quite flimsy and suction pads for locking is also not the best solution

Nintendo just announced a competitive brain game. ‘Cause nothing’s more fun than finding out that other people are smarter than you.

There was also a Rumor that they want to bring Gameboy/GBC Games to Nintendo Online, would be cool to play Super Mario Land on Switch, .. allthough these where the non DX Versions, so whitout color..
I should Continue Zelda Skyward Sword..

Seems like the Switch now supports Bluetooth Headphones, whit the new update..
but in my case only the Airpods, or the JBL Bar Headphones, not the JBL Live Pro + TWS because they need an App and ditnt even work on the Pyra..

At least the JBL E65BTNC work, and they also work on the Pyra,
Unfortunately they are quite big, but I would anyway use the Switch on the go when I have also a bag whit me ..
nothing for pocket edc

Nintendo Direct later today. There's a rumor that a Switch controller patent that will be revealed Friday is for controlling a new set of classic games for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, since Nintendo previously released NES and SNES controllers for Switch, and this one has a similar profile and lack of NFC support.

In other Switch news, Diablo II Resurrected is out for Switch today in North America. I think it's on quite a few other platforms too.

Yepp its at Midnight in Germany, but i dont think i will watch it live, as its a bit too late, but the other Board im writing is a Nintendo Fan Site whit News, so i can read tomorrow morning what happened..

New Classic Games on the Switch would be cool, allthough i have them also on the Pyra..
Im looking forward what they will bring this night..
