Well, the 3DS/2DS is all but over, and I'm sure "N" will be trying to clear out remaining inventory throughout the rest of the year, so seeing these new rumors of NS options on the horizon is no surprise. I've personally been waiting on a mini/lite NS since it was first announced, as I refuse to pay for a system with features and extras I don't want or need. MS had issues with the ONE launch by forcing consumers to foot the bill for the Kinect, and soon after removed it. The NS wasn't that bad, but I have no desire to play on a TV, scan Amiibos, or remove controllers for some party style game play.

"N" has never been one for the current tech trends, at least not since the Gamecube, but with smartphones, and pretty much everything else in this day and age, giving the option for stronger hardware is a new norm. While I don't see much of a need for any "N" device to be the latest and greatest, as no one ever does much with the extra "beef" anyways. I do understand the current level of that thinking, as the PS5/TWO are coming soon, and the NS only really thrives due to ports from current systems. The NS was way underpowered out the gate, and it's only going to get worse next gen, so a pro NS may help in that regard. Will consumers be willing to pay $400 or more for a device that doesn't come close to the pro models of this current gen, that remains to be seen?

As for a $200 portable only, count me in, as I'll be there day one so long as it's not junk! LOL

I would buy a more powerful Switch any time.

The only thing I really hope is compatibility. They now have a decent virtual store.
If all my games were gone and locked to the old hardware again, it would leave me frustrated.

So, FUZE4 Nintendo Switch is coming at the end of May. It lets you code games on your Switch in some BASIC style script. I've been looking for something to fill the void until I can get another computer or Pyra. If only it were out today...

@JDTAY

Never heard of it...source?

P.S. I cbf doing a Google search on it :p

EDIT: Nevermind, just YouTubed it.
Looks to be good for noobs like me, lol...will make a dedicated thread for it :D

@SONY

Just a little info for you about it... They do say in the comments on their site that they're planning a US release as well as their home country, the UK, and that the US price will try to match the exchanged UK price at the time of release. Right now they're targeting 29 pounds, so about 40 dollars... A bit pricey, but worth it if the games, especially the 3D ones, run well.

EDIT: And just noticed that you're Aussie. Well, good luck finding info about the Aussie release.

Looking back through the thread, I can't believe the Pokemon Sword and Shield trailer wasn't mentioned yet.

I mean, it had zero info other than revealing yet another grass-water-fire starter trio, but, um... Yeah, maybe I'll just hold off on discussing the games for now like you guys are.

Metroid Prime Trilogy is a little like hens teeth on the wii. I think I've only seen it in retro shops the once, and the price on it made me skip it given I've already got all of the first two GC games and MP3 running on my homebrewed wii.

Man, ever since I found out how to browse the web on my Switch, I do more of that than actual Switch gaming. Might help if I had a computer, but I was told I can get one in July, and even then, I'll probably use the opportunity to order Pyra, which may or may not be better for browsing the web than Switch. Switch has more horsepower, but Pyra software could be better tailored to the web.

How do you browse the web on switch? Can you do it, while a a is running/paused?

The Days bevore i got my Pandora, i used my PSP 1000 for Browsing the Web whyle i lay in bed,
worked pretty good in these days, not many animations on the Sites, but to write some Comments on the Boards, its toke its time..
Then i got the Pandora whit its cool Keyboard, and my Smartphones (Xperia Play - Galaxy Note 2 - Iphone 6s - Iphone XR ) which were quite comvortable for this purpose..

Sometimes i use my Switch for Youtube, as its Screen was much bigger than my Iphone 6s, but after i got my XR, i think i will use this..

New on my Switch are now Darksiders Warmastered Edition, pretty cool Hack and Slay, and Cuphead, but this isnt released yet, so i have to wait..

Please remind me to play some of my other Games, i have to continue Spintires on the Switch

You have to manually change your DNS server to one specifically designed to allow you to browse the web on Switch, then reconnect to your network. It will say you need to register your connection, but that's a lie. Just click next to go to the browser.

I use SwitchBru's DNS server. Yeah, the whole process is unofficial and a little sketchy, but so is most FOSS. ;)

You could probably do it with a game running, but since you have to interrupt your connection by reconnecting, make sure it's a game without network features.

A game called "Littlewood" is coming to Switch.

I had a joke prepared for this occasion, but Wally said no. :(
