Wrapping everything up!

Good luck ED. Sometimes you need to do other peoples stuff yourself, which is a shame.
Wishing everything after will go smoother.

Hope you enjoy the holidays.

Yeah, like a Kafka novel :)

I agree it certainly has some Kafkaesque elements, but it feels more like a technical adventure.

BTW. I never considered Kafka to be very thrilling - tbh I even thought it was quite boring..
BTW2. Not trying to hurt anyone's feelings, I acknowledge the fact this isn't fun for folks waiting for a Pyra or ED. But it is a damn good story and I am sure it will have a happy end. :)

Just started reading the last chapter - Victory.

Wow, theres a lot of smoke and mirrors at Formaction, at least you get some nice holidays in Greece!

Its been a while since I last logged in, life just got really busy so I didn't have much time to check the boards and for the few times I did, not much time to interact. But I'm glad to see that things are moving along, im still excited for when I will get my Pyra! I'm reading this post a little late :D but good news is good news.

Also Happy holidays to everyone!

My contact has visited them today... and he feels like they rushed the parts so the quality is probably not the best.
But I should decide on that.

So, our decision:

  • We keep the deadline Jan 15th which I told them
  • I will personally visit Greece (again...) then to check on the parts and either accept them (if the quality is good) or get a refund and throw them away (if they're rushed)
  • I also intend to do the movement of the moulds when I'm in Greece, so I can personally check on that. Otherwise, we fear they'll just delay it even more.
I hate dealing with such issues, when everything could be simple and perfect if everyone just did their job, but it seems like I have to.

I'm curious what you mean by bad quality parts. Is there discoloration, is the plastic is flimsy, are parts of the case are not made correctly (e.g. shoulder buttons, hinges)? Why would FA be rushing the parts, haven't you been waiting on them for a while to make them correctly?

Now to add some more anxiety to the waiting the LCD on my Pandora is failing. Will Pyra ship before it totally breaks?

Anyhow I wish all this mess with the case company gets solved.

I have a Rebirth Pandora for sale in the Trade section! It will make a perfect holiday gift!

Multiple requests to produce more Pandora LCD cables have been made. I hope @EvilDragon will read this and will keep on doing Pandora hardware support for as long as he can ;)
Like I mentioned in some other thread, I would buy one or two just to have them in stock in case my (now 2nd) cable fails.

My Pandora barely works expect of Nubs and Display Lights Controller
But I would be happy if I had the Pyra
Because: for me, the development of the Pandora was quite interesting, the waitingtime whit its newsposts and video was new for me,
Everything was entertainment,
But the early days of the Pandora whit it’s surprise, new experience and things nobody expected (Par Exemplare the N64 Emulator or Drastic)
Dis was far more interesting..
So I also hope on Pyra..
