Pyra TWO MONTHS - Now on Steam and itch.io!

Windows only? But that makes it harder to play on a Pyra using Box86! O_O
Linux is coming...
Unfortunately I've had nothing but problems trying to make a linux build using VirtualBox so I probably won't have one ready for the initial release. I'll setup linux properly when I get my head together and try again later. For now, sorry, please use WINE or Proton and please don't lynch me. I'll build it for the Pyra when I get mine.

I've still had no luck with the SteamOS runtime, but it seems to build and run fine on any Linux distro that has SDL2 and SDL2_mixer installed.

Does anyone actually run SteamOS? Is it even still a thing they're continuing to work on?

I've heard it's not very popular, but I believe that requirement only exists because users of other distros may not have the dependencies contained in the runtime installed on their own systems. There's a possibility I could just ship the Debian build without them checking, and it'd probably work for most people, but I know there will be those few who don't have one or both of those libs installed who leave a bad review because it "doesn't work". When I get bad reviews, they should be about how the game sucks, not about the game being a broken scam.

It's pretty common on itch.io to see games with Linux and Mac builds with a message from the developer saying that they should work but are untested and might not work.

I see that on Steam quite a bit too, typically something like "Tested on Ubuntu XX.xx other distributions may work but are not supported."

The idea of shipping an untested build gives me conniptions.

Its pretty common on itch.io to say it is a linux build and then just tell the players to use wine.
And then its usually some unity garbage that doesnt even run in wine.
