Updating the downloader from the initial menu fixed the problem for me.

Could be a change on Youtube's side? I've found that YTDownloader has stopped working for me in the last 48hrs too.

Updating the downloader from the initial menu fixed the problem for me.
updating from the menu can definitely help (for changes on youtube's side) - in this case it doesn't resolve it for me though, do you have a different version (non firmware or update) of mplayer installed, _jr_ ??

It's quite the show-stopper that it doesn't switch TV-Out layer dynamically. Obviously you usually sit some distance away from the TV, so it's really annoying to have to get up, walk to the TV (really inconvenient for setups with tables and whatnot in the way...) and pick up the Pandora every time a video is done, which can be very often for many kinds of shows.

The default shortcut to switch layer is inherently not compatible with Synergy for remote control either; is there a way to set up a shortcut that is bindable?

The short-cut to switch layers doesn't even work on a USB keyboard.. so it's a tad annoying indeed..
dunno if it is possible to assign a different key for the swith layer shortcut?

Sorry, didn't read fully, I can only download after the update (which stopped working before). Direct playing has never reliably worked for me.

Downloading works for me (even though YTDownloader doesn't work at the moment) - is there a way to get it to download the highest quality available like YTDownloader- 1080p etc? Maybe in the future... ;)

Directly playing doesn't work for me anymore too.

I actually used it a lot when I got stuck in some game.

ok, that makes sense..so at the moment youtube-dl can download, but does not provide a link that mplayer can play..maybe this is a bug in youtube-dl (and probably be resolved soon), or the youtube

link has changed in a way that mplayer does not like. One thing (but I am not sure) that may have changed is the fact that the link is now https instead of http - and I am not sure if https is supposed to work in

mplayer (it seems someone came up with a patch for it in 2007, but was rejected, dunno if any later development happened)...

it seems https streaming somewhat unsupported - on my desktop I had to compile a custom ffmpeg to do it..someone knows a player for pandora which can do it?

(prefer mplayer/mpv variant)

Here is a new version with mpv included. This version of mpv can decode https streams and will work with the recent youtube changes. Please test and report your experiences!! as there may still be some issues:

- no omapfb (this was for tvout and made gapless playback possible)

- at the moment the choice between normal and tvout sets the

--no-fixed-vo option for "tvout," this may crash your X session

( I can see one possible cause for the crashes: since I am building mpv using codeblocks, I have also

included all the libraries from codeblocks - even the X ones. So if anyone has any suggestions? the

output of "ldd mpv" is in the /tmp/pndrun_.. file)

Is it possible to have this version updated to the PND store please?

Also - great work on this app!

didn't come round to fix the tv-out in mpv yet (not yet sure how to do this either)..may put the current version on in the meantime..

I changed download the 21 March 2014 pnd, deleted the thetube appdata folder. But all videos i try (pandora videos, others video) don't start. I can't update the youtube downloader, since there is a bug in the python script. Any ideas?

could you post the pndrun output from running and for updating?

Here you go looks like ldd is missing.
