The Rabbit Joint

The actual game is stable, but it's often giving me buggy missions that I can't complete or that don't work properly.

eg,
- Go hack some guy and copy some file off of their computer and send it us. I go hack the computer and the file isn't there. I have to abandon those missions when they do that as there's nothing I can do. This has happened several times.
- Then there are the missions to go and delete files off someones servers and they aren't there. I just claim that I've deleted the and the game accepts it, but it's still annoying.
- There are also the missions where I've got to hack and trash some server then frame someone else. I do everything for that then the game just does nothing. Reading the games forums, this is pretty common and people just stop taking these sorts of missions.
- The more annoying thing so far has been when I've built up a really good profile, a decent gateway, etc and I'm starting on the main story mission. The game then just stops giving me the main story missions.

I've just been digging more around the games forum and it turns out the steam version of the game is ooold. The devs made a beta version about 3-4 years ago for steam, but it never got pushed :/ There is an unofficial update available, but not tried it yet.

Guess it's pretty much the same thing as what happened with Evil Genius on Steam.. The publishers push some old version of oldish games out over Steam for some quick £££ then drop support.

Fuck Zagg right in the arse. I paid extra for express postage since I'm moving house on tuesday, but now it looks like I'm gonna have to come back to the house when the new people are living in it.

Here's a stupid question:

If I'd buy an eeebox with windows 7 home premium, could I not use it on that, but instead install it on a regular computer?
Well does it ship with windows preinstalled or on an oem disk?

Oh right, that's how they ship windows. You might be able to notice that I'm a bit out of the loop. I'll try to find out, if it's an OEM disk then it's just a matter of adding drivers, right? I want a windows license for gaming, but buying it off the shelf seems a bit silly waste of money.

The majority of what you're describing is due to the fact there are other hackers in the uplink world. There's a very basic AI representing fellow agents that does various missions, which can result in them messing up yours. And on the frame someone missions, keep your route simple! Tracing via logs takes really long for every organisation except banks.

If you paid extra for fast shipping then you should demand a partial refund. Most companies accept this.

Excuses!

It happens far too often for my liking ¬_¬
