Yeah, that's why the voting system on these boards is broken, as long as you can see the votes before voting.
I was tempted to switch my vote for 1 but didnt...
I hope nr. 4 wins but it seems that a slight majority prefers logo 2. However, in the german thread logo 4 is fav.http://forum.gp2x.de/viewtopic.php?f=89&t=16656
Small community there I know but maybe a MIX of Logo 2 and 4 could be used somehow? Our gfx gurus may design something in between just to see how it woul look.
I had my vote originally set to 1 but changed it to 4 because I don't want 2 to win. I think there are many other people who have done the same thing unfortunately...
It keeps going back and forth, honestly. I've seen #4 ahead of #2 a couple of times now.
ED should just admit he made a mistake and restart the poll without the fonts with options 1, 2 and 4.
2 and 4 are too damn close.
How can two options at 120 votes each be that close in any poll?
Lol Yeah, it goes back and forth. Would be more awesome, if I actually like 2.
Of course. I did the same.
I'm so puzzled by the votes...
I like the font from 2, but the logo doesn't have a P inside. I like it if there is a P from Pyra in the logo.
DP (Dragonbox Pyra) looks like a flame, so thats good, but it's just not as good as 1 for some reason.
<<< just found it on twitter
https://twitter.com/RockOnFireMX ...to me, it looks like option no. 1. sort of.
That's actually pretty close... Maybe too close.
not moreso than prior art of idea 4. Or if you will brotherhood of nod vs idea 2
If you want to draw inspiration from existing logos, be it just the idea, it cant look vastly different.
Similarly any simple idea has a root somewhere, in that someone has probably simply already done it.
Logo 4 is a direct copy of such an idea, while i think that is immoral im moreso worried about
Which is owned by kering, not a small company, but a conglomerate which trades in the order of billions of dollars yearly.
Also owns gucci, and im pretty sure they have trademark-lawyers on staff that are paid enough to make the whole pyra project pale in comparison.
Edit: "According to the complaint, Volcom has spent more than $100,000,000 in marketing their jewel-shaped logo. (since 1991)

"The Volcom lawsuit does not specify damages, but it does request that all Roc Nation products using the logo be destroyed and the company stop using the logo."
Settled out of court, and roc nation no longer uses that logo.
I switched from 1 to 2 because I dislike #4 hahaha... The funny thing is I think I might have been partially responsible for the concept that sprouted designs leading to #4's creation as well.
You see things I don't see. What does this "Volcom diamond" have to do with logo #4? I don't see the link at all. It looks a tiny bit like logo #2, but nothing to be worried about.
I voted for 2
The others look too much like the dutch fire fighters and police logo's
Okay, I redid my vote and changed to Logo 1.
I also think the vote should be redone without fonts, they were the first
thing that catched my eye and I (and I think a few others) cast my vote
while being heavily influenced with my like/dislike of a particular fonts style.
ED mentioned that the fonts are not final and more or less placeholders. I ony voted for the logo itself, not for any font. Actualy I don't like any of these fonts at all.
Jay Z has a shitty lawyer. The only thing similar between those 2 logos is the silhouette, which is a basic shape. If he couldn't defend that, then he doesn't deserve the money Jay Z is paying him.
That is the most badass firefighter logo ever.
Separate names with a comma.
