Through trial and error I've worked out that the 1st digit of #$xx is the background colour and the 2nd is the foreground colour. So for a menu item #$4F = a red background and white text.

A OK. Reminds me somewhat of the proprietary turbo pascal.The textmode IDE that comes bundled with FreePascal called FP IDE is the one that I'm making a theme for. It looks like this as standard.
