definitely prefer the "first batch" text instead of a logo which could mean "pandora 1", "first pandora" or "what does this little symbol mean? it's too small". We've all been talking about the "first batch" for more than a year by now, so why not label it like that? Maybe it's confusing for non-pandora-users, but hey: it might make our hearts beat faster and helps to forget all the time we waited for this from the beginning. because that's what we paid for last year: the first batch, giving our money to people to work with and to create a unique, amazing product.
If the second batch would be (in)officially called second edition/version, people may think it's improved, better than the first version, so "batch" is pretty nicely picked.
yet, i don't think the "first batch" text should be that big. and a pandora logo containg a 1 is too small. some letters are doing their job better here, i think. (that's why i don't mind having a "bt", "wf", "usb", "sd" instead of little symbols)
And I don't really get the argument "an english text is not really universal". this whole project, those forums, where the whole pandora idea has been created, uses the english language and even in non-english blogs (note: my horrible english should proof that english is not my mother tongue
) people used the word "batch". and since the next batches (which might go to third retailers) won't have such a text, i dont see a problem (besides some people who joined these forums a few weeks ago and are upset about waiting for the second (or even third) batch
)
