Screen Burn


I can't look it up now because I'm at work and the site is blocked in the office, but there's a best of craigslist where the guy was just giving away his huge TV. The reason: he went away on vacation and one of his friends decided it would be a good idea to pause a gay porn DVD on it while he was gone.
So if you don't mind a ghost like penis while you watch, hey, FREE TV!

Hmmmmmmm....... sounds like the old "does the fridge light really switch off when you close the door or is it a case of you just can't see it with the door closed" debate.

TIP. It's not a good idea to drill a hole in the bottom of your Pandora in order to check if said screen turns off when the lid is closed, just take it as read.

Haha, I remember that. I can't find it, though.

Anyway, there is an xscreensaver called lcdscrub, which can be run standalone (except might require some library from xscreensaver) which is used to fix stuff like burn in and temporarily stuck (not dead/permanent stuck) pixels.
