I am happy as can be that the dev team have squashed this hardware bug with wifi! (And I think its a testament to their determination) One thing that stands out in my mind though is with the boards that have to be modded, will there be any foreseeable difference between them and the boards rolling off the assembly line with the change already in place? Will a mod like this affect the expected lifetime of that board versus the factory "perfect" boards? Will they for all intents and purposes be indistinguishable from the new factory boards? Thanks.

No, there is no difference between them. They all have the same resistor value.

I personally, would like to see a pic (good/close up pic *winks at ED ;) *) of the resistor mod on one of these Pandora boards. It'll give a good idea of the kind of delicate work MWeston will do lots of time (my respects to him, I can only imagine the magnitude of this task).

I would have liked to get one of the boards that were modded by MWeston, but I'm to far back in the queue for that. <_<

well no one would really be capable of knowing

you can always walk away with a faulty board,

the change would most likely increase the chance (but still fairly small)

No difference?!? They're limited edition hand-modified collector's editions!

you get a +1 smd resistor bonus, on piggiback of the former one.

(thats what i recall they will be doing, if not well it still works, but it will take more time to do the mod)
