Prophet
God I'm old.
I read a quote from MWeston recently, where he explained that various parts keep going up in price, yet they're trying to keep the final unit's price down to around $320 or so.
Coming from the Zodiac and PDA's, maybe I see the Pandora a little differently. To me, $300 is "cheap" for something like the Pandora. But I totally understand how it would seem very expensive to people who are used to spending $100 - $200 for a handheld game system.
The Zodiac 2 (the model with more RAM) was $400. And it was worth it IMO.
So there's a part of me that would like to see the Pandora cost maybe $350 - an extra $20 or $30 to cover all the dev costs and parts issues, and keep this new company motivated.
How many people would be OK with a slight rise in price like that? How many would not? How many would like to burn me at the stake for even thinking of a higher price!? How many would pay almost anything just to have a Pandora ASAP?
Well, answer the poll and let's see what people think of the pricing.
