i dont understand the need for 3rd party support to be on nintendo consoles. every multi platform game on the xbone and ps4 are just as bad of a choice to play as on nintendo. i have a PC for most of the stuff i wonna play that isnt a nintendo game, while xbox and playstation have maybe 3 series together that i want to play that i cant elsewhere
I disagree: I don't regret buying the WiiU, but two of the games I got most fun out of it (Lego City Undercover, Rayman Legends) were third party titles. While I still like some Nintendo titles, I'm feeling most of their various game series are getting somewhat old now: I liked Super Mario 3D World a lot, but Super Mario Bros U, was more or less - "same old same old", and even the new features on SMW3D did loose their charme rather quickly. Mario Kart 8 will surely be a great game, but the only real difference will be gravity and probably some minor adjustments. Zelda, more or less the same story, some alterations here and there, but thats it. etc. etc.
That does not mean that I think that they should be rebooted or altered till you can't find anything resembling the orginal series, but as it is with books/movies/etc., some stories can't be retold/extended forever. And it looks also like some sort "confession of failure" from Nintendos game design department and management, if they can't come up with something new, but reherese the same things over and over again.
