I'd say it heavily depends on the game, but it should be more like a pentium 60-75MHz max.
 
Did making the screen size any smaller improve it at all?

Not really much :mellow: , theres a minor Frame improvement when i reduce the Screensize.


Another great thing is to use CD-Audio Music from my original Disk instead Midi-Music,


i have made a batch File for that inside the Blood game Directory to avoid much typing


on the Dos-Prompt everytime:

Quick tested Realms of the Haunting ,Shadow Warrior and Redneck Rampage,


with the same DosBox Config File for Blood.


Realms of the Haunting runs good in Vesa\VGA Mode at 320x200 with minor slowdowns


at the beginning Level.


Shadow Warrior runs good at 320x200 and lowest Detail settings with minor slowdowns,


and Redneck Rampage runs to slow to be playable at 320x200 :mellow:


Also tested Half-Life on Windows 95 with Qemu, made some tweaks with the shortcut on the


Desktop, and a Autoexec.cfg in the Game Dir, but the Game runs to slow at 320x240 and the


displayed Resolution is long drawn out, don't know how much Frames but i think 2-5 Fps.

Hello, i recived my 1 GHz Unit on Monday and made a Video with some Games on Android.


The Games are Grand theft Auto 3 and Max Payne, most Graphic settings are set to High.


GTA 3 have some fps slowdowns in the Video due to the high settings i've made,


but mostly it runs good on this setting and looks awesome.


Pandora is clocked to 1,2 GHz, and Video is made with a custom TV-Out Cable


and a Video Card on my PC. (excuse the unsharp Quality) Hope you like the Video :)

Hello, i've tried the Config File with 32MB of Ram lowered a little bit the Screensize


and disabled the Midi emulation due to i want listen to the Blood CD-Audio Music while gaming.


Tryed this with CD-Audio and without, don't know if it runs now a little bit faster


but the Game is quite good playable with this settings.


I beliefe that Blood is supporting to run with 3DFX Glide or something on a Real Machine.


The only thing i hope to get the last fps for running this Game at Fullspeed i think is


to get a DosBox Version with 3DFX Glide Hardware acceleration support like the


DosBox CSV Version or similar, with a Glide to OpenGL ES Wrapper inside,


but i don't know if this ist true/real what i'm writing here or if this could be possible :)


but this would a Dream to increase a little bit speed for Games that run with that.


Also tryed 720p Video playback with Assassin's Creed Lineage Ubisoft short Film


.avi File at 1,2 GHz . It runs to slow on MPlayer to be watchable, probably PanPlayer


could handle this, but havn't tried it yet. Using Videos at the Native Resolution 800x480


would be the better choice i think ^^

Yes ,Max Payne runs realy good and GTA 3 can run even faster if i lower some Graphic settings,


there are some settings set to Max in GTA3 while i've made the Video.


Max Payne also runs realy good on the Rebirth Pandora ^_^ .


AlsoTested Dungeon Hunter 1 and Shadowgun and it runs nicely.

I've made a new Blood Video ,same Level but with Video Intro and the original Blood
CD-Audio Tracks instead of Midi Music, with the Config file for recording this Video
it runs a bit slower compared to the other Config File for gaming (+ Touchscreen support)
that will not work with TV-Out.
(The Ingame Screensize is downscaled a bit by the Game Option)

Hmm on a regular 512MB Pandora Overclocked to 1050 MHz, I've got Blood almost that speed without turning off Midi.. I have to wonder if I can get my regular Pandora to a similar speed by doing your tricks.. Dust off the old Blood CD.


Now just need to wait to get out of work...

The reason to disable the Midi emulation only was by using CD-Audio Tracks from the


Blood Disc, the attempt to get the maximum out of DosBox performance speed.


But disabling the Midi did not much speedup the gameplay :mellow: .


I've tryed various Games in DosBox and Qemu, sometimes it runs better in Dosbox


and sometimes in Qemu. Blood is a realy demanding game and i think by the Speed


feeling it runs, we have a 486DX2-50 , 486DX2-66.


And sometimes on some Games it can feel like e.g a Pentium 60.

Hello, i recived my 1 GHz Unit on Monday and made a Video with some Games on Android.


The Games are Grand theft Auto 3 and Max Payne, most Graphic settings are set to High.


GTA 3 have some fps slowdowns in the Video due to the high settings i've made,


but mostly it runs good on this setting and looks awesome.


Pandora is clocked to 1,2 GHz, and Video is made with a custom TV-Out Cable


and a Video Card on my PC. (excuse the unsharp Quality) Hope you like the Video :)

wow. How does one get Max Payne or GTA 3 to run on the Pandora. I bought Max Payne from the Play Store, installed it, but end up with a


" Sorry! The application Max Payne (process.com.maxpayne) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."


Did I miss something?
 
^ Both games just works fine for me, Although this is on my regular 512MB rebirth Pandora.. not a 1Ghz. For me to get GTA III to play acceptable requires overclocking to 1GHz and overclocking the RAM/SGX a tad.

^ I'm trying to run it on the new 1ghz. It is strange. I can get Shadowgun to work just fine, however Max Payne and GTA 3 both refuse to load and gives me the same error.
