I'm currently trying to improve on the recently released pocket flash. Although some of the improvements are already visible, including very partial flash 8 support and sound, there are some problems are in the way, apparently, JPEG and image tags are handled a bit differently handled in flash 8.
Every flash 8 with JPEGs have had the following library error: Improper call to JPEG library in state 202. This tells me it is likely not on the image data yet. But i thought flash 8 was supposed to be more restrictive on the JPEG image tag headers, meaning we should have less trouble.
I'm still a rather new programmer, just trying to get some progress in this before i start working on fonts and filters in flash 8. If you need the source code, its included in the main flashplayer2x release:
