Hmm if, as MWeston's post suggests, there will be little to no time difference between the first 100 and the rest, then the testing seems fairly meaningless and therefore the queue should proceed in order. If the 100 units were tested and that testing reflected on what went on the rest then that would be no problem, however it looks like we will all just be getting the same units. In that case, roll them out and let all 4000 of us give our feedback. In many ways the whole idea of a separate 100 seems to have been rather jumping the gun.
Also, I think that the units for review to various press should be at the end of the batches or even somewhere between batch one and two so that it will benefit from batch one's feedback and also because it will be advertising for future sales and should coincide with the availability of the next batch rather than simply glorifying what the converted will already have. Still, I cannot wait for the pure joy of the Pandora no longer being considered vapour to the masses.
