Well, I hope they flushed afterward.
I am really looking forward to that Max-Thingy because the Win1 I got is too small for most Windows games (in my opinion) and the Pyra will satisfy my mobile needs for gaming and working.
@vcoleiro1 as soon as you are allowed to post stats and features, feel free to post them here please.
Dumb name. Should have left the "2" part.
Now, it seems like it's the MAX version of GPD Win 1.
Also, if you look at GPD's twitter account, you can see the two teaser pics they posted there
That should help a bit with the confusion then. I was having a difficult time trying to figure out if/what this had in common with the Win 2.
Sounds good. Of course the Pyra batteries are newer and better than the old ones. I just see the compatibility as little "bonus" and it never hurts to have an spare Battery for emergency cases around that can fit in your device. Even if it's only an old Pandora Battery.
Well, if you can manage to make a decent replacable Battery solution for Pandora and Pyra, it should be also possible for a much bigger company to do the same, if they wanted to.
So are you using Windows ? Or launchbox was also released for linux at some point ?
Also is the SN30 working on Linux at all ?
I have an FC30Pro or something like that (there are so many 8bitdo controllers now that it's easy to get mixed up), and it just speaks HID USB or similar bluetooth just fine. I had it running with my Pandora just fine.
The 8bitdo website reports it works with RaspberryPi, by which they mean any linux.
Edit: Launchbox seems to be windows only though.
I asked because in the main site the tech specs are these (but yeah, I see now Raspi too somewhere in the page):
Windows, Android, macOS, Steam, Switch
Yes, for a long time I had mentioned to them that the name would be confusing and that they should at least drop the 2. Finally they agreed and changed the name
But are they going to bring the numeral back for the next standard sized version? And is the next max sized unit, assuming this is popular enough going to be the Win 2 max or the Win max 2 or something?
The next iteration to the WIN 2 will be the WIN 3. They are waiting for Intel to launch a suitable SOC ie IceLake 10nm. But you know how Intel's 10nm plans are going so far.
As for the Max , the next one I assume will be the WIN Max 2
So, MAX means XL?
The GPD Win 2 was only a little larger than the GPD Win 1. The GPD Pocket 2 was about the same size as the GPD Pocket 1. I suspect the GPD Max might be more along the lines of a GPD Pocket, but maybe a bit larger (Perhaps 10" instead of 8"), as the sneak picture we see with the two fans, if it is part of the same unit appears to show the underside of keyboard buttons indicates it might be around the same size perhaps of an Asus Transformer? I would love to see some concept images of what they are considering for this device.
I highly doubt it'll be anymore than 8"
Wow, dreams do come true! GPD Win MAX looks like it's gonna be large
The WIN Max is a big boy.
Also this, and it's not the WIN Max:
Although I'm not specially attracted to any of its products. I admire they effort on devices with form factors or features that are different to anything on the market.
It's really refreshing in a market that focused in tablets and smartphones for the last 10 years.
What do you mean by "form factor"?
I suppose everything keyboard-less compared to these custom designed keyboards, also a modern device with a COM port.
Separate names with a comma.
