Here is my very basic port of z81 to the gp32. It's a port of an older version because it had less files and I'm lazy :). Comes with the zx81 rom and a few games. Games are free, and noone seems to know who owns the rom anymore so I think it's safe to include (before anyone starts, from what I've read Amstrad only claim to have bought the speccy roms, not zx81 or zx80).

Sounds excellent ! Cant wait to try this

This machine was the first computer ever for a lot of people in the UK and a lot of my friends so i look forward to giving it a go.

I was a huge Spectrum fan back in the 80's, the ZX81 was many peoples first computer until they then moved onto the Spectrum but the QL ???

This was a total bodge, meant to be a business machine back then , didnt really have any games on it. There would be no point emulating this

I have a ZX81 with the add-on ram pak. It is my dad's though, so I never really did anything with it though. My Tandy Color Computer 2 was a completely different story though...

EDIT: Man, I really need to cut back on my usage of the word "though." I beleive this counts for master redundancy.

Alright fair enough you win. Persuade someone to create or port over a QL emulator for the sake of 3 or so games and i'll be impressed.

Theres many other machines (Eg Oric / Dragon) which could be ported which have a far better range of games than the QL.

I'm a huge Speccy fan but i dont think a QL emulator would be that good or hardly used by many people.

I love retro machines and retro gaming but overall the QL just isnt used as a gaming machine and thats what most of the emulators are created for.

@woogal

ever thought of doing a QL emulator?
Nah sorry, only ported this partly because I was bored at work one day and partly because the zx81 was my first ever machine. Never had a QL so I've not got any interest in an emulator.

There already is a dragon emu (xroar). IMHO it's the best emu available on the gp32.

There is no winner or loser..

If there was a GPQL emulator. I doubt anyone would find any game ROMs to play.

I've looked for stuff on the Windows QL emu and not found any of the games mentioned above.

So it would be largeley pointless but just fun to show off more of what the GP32 can do

Its all about having fun.

I couldn't seem to use the virtual keyboard, and I don't have a chatboard, so with some more input options this would be really nice!

Good job!
