quick question regarding the last build: as a request, can we expect a front-end soon?
I'm struggling with dumpgfx, running suse 10. It's compiled, but doesn't seem able to open any zip's:
./dumpgfx pulstar.zip
Couldn't load pulstar.zip
Does it have any dependencies I may be missing? I know zlib is definately installed. I've tried several zip's, that work fine otherwise, and also tried recompressing, without any luck.
Or you can just use wordpad.what do you guys use to read the ream me files?
In Windows, I use VIM. Seems to be very good for editing this kind of thing.
Thanks, I shall be trying this out.
Have you any other rom to try?
What is the content of the roms (unzip -l)
Or you can just use wordpad.
actually, I meant using wordpad to read the readme file.Or you can just use wordpad.
apparently not. wordpad does some funny formatting which isn't good for scripts.
in fact.. you probably meant notepad anyway.

Any one care about test sengoku 3 for me? Thanks!
I have been avoiding this emu as I know nothing about linux and scripts and don't want to mess with those. Maybe a third party launcher could be made for this.
Too true, it's really not that hard and much easier than creating hundreds of scripts. I don't mind helping out either.Guys, it's really not too bad. If you follow the instructions in this thread, you can set up Konuch's Selector to replace making all the scripts. If you'd like to try and need help, just PM me.
Since selector does a very good job to launch gngeo, I put a new binary with selector included:Too true, it's really not that hard and much easier than creating hundreds of scripts. Is there a possibility that a rom selector will be built in eventually? It would be nice to have all in one as it is cleaner on the card and easier to use as there is no "setting up".

Thanks to Kounch for this great launcher.
Also, a little clarification on the bios files that gngeo need. Gngeo need exactly the same bios than mame, but unzipped, that's all.
More specifically, the folowing file are needed:
aes-bios.bin, vs-bios.rom, usa_2slt.bin, asia-s3.rom, sp-s2.sp1, sfix.sfx and 000-lo.lo
- aes-bios.bin is only needed if you configure gngeo in home mode (in gngeorc)
- vs-bios.rom is only needed if you configure gngeo "country" in Japan.
- usa_2slt.bin is only for USA...
- asia-s3.rom for Asia...
- sp-s2.sp1 for Europe...
Side note: has anyone gotten pulstar to work? The game launches but then I get a warning (cartridge only for use in original snk boards).
Thanks, saves me time tryingSide note: has anyone gotten pulstar to work? The game launches but then I get a warning (cartridge only for use in original snk boards).
Pulstar is not supported for now, even on the linux gngeo.
I'm still trying to understand why...
