Still fresh, damnit!
The Sinclair C5 was a recumbent bike as well, at least when the battery gave out. And given it was a lead acid battery powering a washing machine type motor that wasn't too long.
Wouldn’t that be achieved if a significant number of car drivers switched to velomobiles/velocars?The best solution would be to fix the safety problem at the source and have less cars on the roads and/or less roads dedicated to cars.
Roads predate cars a long time though; we've had roads leading from the top of the country to the bottom since the middle ages (as evidenced by the canterbury tales amongst more recent tellings). Now you could argue that covering them in tarmacadam was the bad bit, but tarmaced roads are much better if you're a cyclist too, and even on foot I reckon I travel slightly faster on tarmaced roads than unpaved ones; when I'm wandering off road I have to spend more time watching to see if I'm about to wander into a patch of nettles, or there's a tree root I need to step over.
Duh? I thought PRC has been doing it for quite a while. But it's not a problem only of keep chasing the lowest wages. At some point the world stops consuming even more gadgets, or the earth stops providing ever more resources. Capitalism is a ponzi scheme.Only if PRC doesn't do it first.
China got screwed over by taking worthless paper and pretending that it is as good as gold. No wonder they want to get rid of their Dollars now.Globalization worked great when the west was significantly richer than the manufacturing countries in the east. We had the upper hand and called the shots. I expect we** will start building lots of factories in Africa, India, Venezuela, etc.
I literally was just looking at that. 2 years for new chips!Playdate handheld game console delayed until 2022 (hand crank and all) - Liliputing
