Game Gadget

^ If so many have really been returned, there is a possibility that it could become obscure enough some day that it might be something a collector of obscure handhelds might want, but as Strigoi says, that's a big "if".

ha, I agree .... was more wishful thinking on my behalf probably

I'll keep mine anyway, didn't cost much and would be the one to take on a journey where it could get lost/broken rather than my more expensive PSPgo

I wouldn't access their forums at the moment, I got an alert in my browser warning me it has malware and not to continue.

Just letting you know what I see in case your browser doesn't warn you and it stings you.

Hopefully they will clean it up and be ok soon, if anyone here even owns one or uses their forums

Yeah, they've rolled out an update to their store/application recently, making that nicer.

Still not been any major game releases though besides the Sega ones, a handful of freeware games but a lot of people are awaiting info on the titles from other consoles still.

I check for an update most days

I got the latest issue of GamesTM magazine today (subscriber's get it early) and it has a double page spread dedicated to the GameGadget - it's pretty scathing. One of the blow ups of text states "The screen is small and of poor quality, and the sound is awful" The title to the piece states "Why GameGadget Disappoints"

If anyone was on the fence before reading this, they won;t be afterwards. There's even a timeline featuring the problems to date.

GameGadget? more like GameOver!

I've no idea what the situation is.. i submitted a support ticket to them stating the malware alert, that was the same minute pretty much that i posted here about it, till now I've had no reply to that still... so who knows. I'm not going to it till the alerts gone though

as for the screen, that is my main gripe with the device probably, the viewing angle is very poor, a slight tilt up or down and you can't see it hardly at all, not to game on. when you just chilling back on the sofa you tend to relax eh but you do have to consciously hold it face on all the time

I really hope these clowns were still not trying to pass this off as a 'British handheld'?

You know the reason it's still chugging on (sort of) is almost certainly because they have convinced (naive?) people to invest money, so they have to pretend it's actually going somewhere and not just a rebranded Dingoo with some GPL emulators.
