Well, I DO. Because, that what you both did is school example of bullying.I hope that no one thinks I was attacking Kumaki when I mentioned her style of word emphasis, that wasn't my intention at all.
LolHEY, VCOLEIRO !! CAN YOU HEAR ME ?!
Yeah and my 286 really begs for mercy. How can I feel sorry for people using computers weaker than a medium sized rock? Where am I supposed to draw the line?... my pure little Pi is frozen, or hybernate for some time... and every single time I think about "omfg, forgive'm, for they don't know what they are doing"...
I told Kumaki as politely as I could that her posting style is amplifying how people perceive her tone but she didn't take it into consideration at all. So I don't feel bad that people grew increasingly impatient with it. Some people think that there are no intonation cues when you type on the internet. That's wrong. They show up in things you take for granted if you try to map it directly to vocal conversation. Internet isn't make believe fantasy land for everyone participating; spend enough time online and you'll perceive interactions like a person does in the real world. But like a deaf or blind person you will pick up on different types of cues.Sorry , I mean no offence by this, it's more of an observation really - Not aimed at Milkshake or anyone. But I find it hilarious that some people get worked up over others use of Caps. The reason given being that there is no reason to shout .
Guys , when reading something in Caps, no one is literally and audibly shouting, it's just a voice in your head which one would think you have some control over.
In a text based medium where you have no way or hearing volume, tone or inflection these things must be inferred from clues in the text. Typing in all caps makes text a lot harder to read and has long been considered (and been used as) as an indication of shouting.Sorry , I mean no offence by this, it's more of an observation really - Not aimed at Milkshake or anyone. Hello? His signature is 1000x150. A bunch of other people are using it. You're the only person I've seen complain about it. It's not reasonable to ask people to make accommodations for someone using the equivalent of a 15+ year old PC. If it was just one person who was annoyed by Kumaki's posting style then that one person should have just ignored it. That wasn't the case. You're wrong if you think milkshake's sig is bad common netiquette and you're wrong if you think excessive caps emphasis isn't. End of story.Of course it is pointless to continue with, but I have to type it again.
When somebody take 1024*768 "signatures" with ENOURMOUS pamphlet on it, as normal and regullar (oh-so-ironic 286 exophase),
and then somebody preaching about
"it makes text a lot harder to read and has long been considered (and been used as) as an indication of shouting" as Neelix did,
how do you call it?
Hypocrisy? Squared? Mediocrity?
