Jive turkey?

Rico - So, what's the deal? Are you seriously getting into DDR or are you just getting the pad just for fun (Playing it only for a few days drunk when you're friends come over)?
What do you think?

I have more things to do than memorise arrow patterns to impress people in arcades. I find DDR fun, especially as an exercise method (despite the fact you could lose more weight walking). I will definitely play it for a while.

I'm not reserving it for drunkenness, this is just a one-off. But as for 'seriously getting into' -- buying something doesn't mean you're going to devote all of your time to it.

Well, what I meant by seriously getting into it was playing it on a regular basis. Like 30 minutes a day.

I think he made it clear that hes not getting serious into playing it everyday but he might for exercise.
For exercise, you should play it 30 minutes a day, everyday.

And when he said "I will definitely play it for a while," that could mean playing it everyday.

30 minutes a day is likely. Our interpretations of 'seriously getting into it' differ, I assumed serious would be like playing it 6 hours a day until I was the master. This is based on my interactions with other DDR users, most of whom seem to spend their entire allowance at the arcades :)

update

I never bought the dance mat, but at a LAN just this weekend a friend of mine was playing StepMania and I got interested again, so he sent me his 650mb or so of songs over.

The game is a LOT more fun with a ridiculous number of songs to choose from, I assure you. I have been playing it for about 6 hours over the weekend, using the arrow keys (zx,. is a bit weird). I can clear pretty much any 7 footer and some 8 footers, and get AA on 4 and below, but no AAAs yet. I need more practice, obviously.

DDR on the Gp32 would be pretty sweet, as long as its better than gpmax. You know mp3 quality music, correct arrow timing.

But even if i could play DDR anywhere I doubt i'd be able to find a clean safe spot to do so. And i might fall and break my gp if i trip on the wire...
