I can understand why they do that. They know that within weeks some toerag will have it on some warez site. They have to recover their investment while interest is highest and they still control availability. Once it is available as warez they have to compete by making the real thing more affordable. It sucks, but there will always be some no-talent kid who can impress his peers by stealing roms and people who want something for nothing. If they kept the initial price low would more people own it legitimately ? I wonder if they have ever researched this.I wouldn't call it cheapskate £15 per buy for downloads is gonna be a fair bit of money if enough people buy it, the thing that bugs me about consoles is how they start at £40 and in a few weeks its £30... then a few more weeks and its £20... its annoying
You have to take tax and bandwidth off that price and remember this is a relatively small user base.
