Hi! My name is Cloud

I'm living on a small island. I dream always about some big adventures in the future.
But for now I write this diary to show you my way until then.
My english is not perfect but I hope you will always understand me :)

First I will show you my island.

It's small at the moment but will grow in future.
I train hard my moves to be ready for the adventure

What I've learned until now is to make Drops to fight against bad coconuts and change them into stars.

I'm also able to make a tornado to collect items...

...and to move blocks

Ok. Next week you will hear more about my progresses.
See you then

Wow!! It's a very original game and good graphics. I hope to see in the Wiz.
I love isometric games.

"Woah!" is the first thing I said when I saw the pictures. That looks like it will be a really fun game when it is completed.

Hi. It has been a week already. How is the progress?
Im so waiting for this game

Hi! Here is Cloud again

Dear Diary.

This time I need your help. I am always thinking about the controlling of my moves on the GP2X-WIZ.

Let's say I would like to move in directon SOUTHWEST:

Should the player press the RIGHT_BUTTON

or RIGHT_BUTTON and DOWN_BUTTON?

I write here something down: cloud100317.zip - 1.01MB
Maybe someone can unzip it to the "games" folder of WIZ and test it.
There are also some other controls:

X-button = make drop
B-button = make tornado
MENU-button = restart level
SELECT-button = toggle diagonalmode/directmode

To move a block, make a tornado in a neighbourfield and the block will move to the opposite...

... maybe something will happen.

I just downloaded and tested this and I think I prefer the direct set up on the controls (as diagonals are a bit hit or miss on the Wiz, but the choice could be put on the options screen when we get one)

Great work so far, I take it this is just a test level as there's no way to finish it (or is there?)

Cheers, Neil

At first I found easier the diagonal mode. However after a couple of minutes playing in direct mode I got used, so its not really a big difference.

It has come to my attention that from time to time I got disoriented playing in direct mode. Somehow in my head the south should be in the right corner, not in the left one.

You are doing a great job :D

Tested it. Feels great, keep it up!

...and please, no diagonals :D

cheers

agree, hey Steinbock - this game has some great vibes and it's breath of fresh air...keep up the good (and original!) work :)

I like direct mode more than using the diagonal. The game is definitely fun, I can't wait to play more of it.

Why don't you leave the control choice to the player? You could include both control modes and have the player select one in a settings menu or before the game begins. Control in isometric games is really tricky and there's no right or wrong way. It's a matter of taste.

The game looks delicious! I hope you finish it and release it to the community soon. I'm sure it will make great success! Good luck!

Is this project still alive? Would be ashame if it's abandoned. It seems pretty interesting...
