I was about to hit like after the first paragraph. How are you supposed to know it is an emergency if you can't look at the message?
So tell me, and be honest. How many ultra-urgent emergency messages you've received so far in your life? If it's really emergency like your house on fire people nearby and authorities will actually try to voice call you, Not sending you messages on Facebook or WhatsApp. Duh?
I never said I used electronic devices during any of the things I replied that would be done with a bunch of people in the dark other than to quickly check my phone or when at home. You might want to pay more attention. I don't care what anyone does as long as they stay away from me.
You should read the whole context of the thread and forum kid, specially on why I brought that up. You replied with the context of using the electronic device inside too.
I don't go to clubs anymore, and have always felt they were stupid. The few times I did go to them it was at the request of others, and it was to watch out for them. I am not particularly interested in women in clubs (other than those that have me watching their backs). I also don't care what others think is cool or appealing to others. If they would let me in with more then I would probably bring more. If I had my way I would drive everyone off so that I could leave sooner, as clubs are one of the places I least want to be. The kind of clubs that would have music and stuff I enjoy would probably be the perfect place for a Pyra...or old tech, sometimes being used and not just worn (but even the music usually played on those nights or at those clubs is not really to my taste). I guess I am just an idiot, huh?
You're the one who brought up about clubs. So I give you some simple tips on it : there's simply no sense in bringing in these kind of device inside. There's no sense bringing these kind of devices to cinemas and concerts too. You don't enjoy the clubs and cinemas because you're not actually at least try to enjoy it. Because you're too busy with these devices that are actually irrelevant to whatever you're trying to do there in the first place, why those places actually exist and why people go there for.
And I never said you're an idiot. But hey you got your rights to feel whatever you want lol.
Common sense is what tells us the world is flat.
Son, short history lesson : that's religion, not common sense. People back then follows religion and the holy book without any question. I wouldn't call that "common sense" that would be "blind faith".
Some people with real common sense started to figure out that the world is round religion tried to shut them up. Look it up.
Your rights? What about theirs? If there is no talking then why are you lecturing these people? What makes you more important than another paying customer? Nothing. Not only are you bothering the person with the device, you are bothering everyone else by telling them they are doing something you dislike, and are clearly violating the same posted rules you claim to be enforcing (and it isn't your place to enforce anything anyway). If you don't like something go complain to the people that run the place, otherwise leave everyone else alone and shut up. You bother me in public I will ask you ONCE to leave me alone. This is a general thing, not limited to any specific location.
The sign that's forbid to NOT using the device is displayed before the show. Unless you're blind you wont miss it. And who said it's limited to talking on cellphones? At least here, it's said "No Handphones during the show". Not "No talking on cellphones during the show". Like I said I don't know about your country.
Too bad the cinemas here are not as strict as grench's and the staffs are not that firm. And "scold" doesn't always mean rushing to them or yell at them, you know. If they obliged, we both can enjoy the movie. If he's not, well I'll report to the staffs. If that's not working and the culprit is still doing it continuously, well I'm always ready to escalate and taking it outside. But most of the time people know when they do something that they shouldn't do. They're just being inconsiderate. So I remind them. As simple as that.
Nevertheless I've done my part to enjoy the movie at its fullest, by taking the latest night available, so that there're less people around.
But even so, I seen people bringing out their kids to latest night of the Deadpool movie. The kids are kicking the chair, screaming around. Then they went rage about it saying it's not suitable for children. It doesn't said they're not allowed to bring kids to the cinemas, but really?
Then we also have this guy who want to bring his palm sized Linux PC and actually play with it inside the cinema. Probably watching a movie on it or do some programming stuffs or play tetris on it while the show is going just because Woz did it. Hey it's not a cellphone if you opted for the wifi only. So it should be fine, right? Please use your... uhm... common sense before you reply. Cinemas are the place where people want to watch movies. Not watching other's notification on their device's screen. Concerts are the place where people want to watch the concert. Clubs are where people go to have drinks and socialize. Not playing tetris, not for gaming, or getting distracted by your device. Is that so hard to understand?
Let me guess, you will go to the McDonalds to see the new iPhone 7 launch?
I don't go to the movies much anymore because I don't feel like dealing with idiots, and I would rather buy a copy than spend about the same on tickets.
So now you think people who go to the movies are idiots?
Thank you for the permission. I was worried you might come to my house and chastise me. No problem, I have no neighbors close enough to hear anything even if I put some amps outside, turn them up to 11, and make noise at them, and if I did it would still be less disturbing than all the other stuff that happens around here (mostly older people, a few families, and 2 apartment buildings on this street, with those that reside in the apartments often harassing the older residents and vandalizing their property). Also, it turns out that the restrictions on sound here are very forgiving, which I found out last week when calling the police station what the earliest I could mow my lawn was, as I wanted to do it before a storm came in.
Did you even know the term "norms"? But like you said, what rights do I have to scold you anyway. Go on push it further. I've said it before, I don't know how much the limit is, let alone in your country.
Aw, do you feel big and strong now? That is so cute!
For sure. How about you? Can't wait to grow up huh? Don't worry kid, puberty don't last that long. Try better arguments on the next one.
Oh BTW the red case is awesome. Much better than the silver Pandora. And Black is too common for me. But ED said the cheaper red isn't so good. Hence why I wanted the clear case.
Cheers.
