Case styles/designs that could work for the P2 (post pictures here)

Something rugged like this would be nice:

That one has a $4450 price tag and is intended for military use, it doesn't have to be that rugged (also not that expensive please). But it would be nice to have something that you can drop, spill water on, etc.

Can you find a better (non-thumbnail) picture?
Who me?  If so, I just googled a lot of devices I knew about, added some extra google-fu and created a single image.  I did it that way because I couldn't spoiler that amount of images, and I'd hate to get another warning for spam.  If you click the image you can zoom in a bit if that helps.  If not directed towards me, carry on.

Not possible due to costs, but I would still love a hinge design like the Panasonic AX3 implements: http://panasonic.jp/pc/products/ax3w/index.html
Interesting, but that wouldn't work for a handheld, I think.
Do you like to elaborate that ?
Having a keyboard underneath doesn't seem very practical to me. Sure there may be some workarounds, but I think they would be cumbersome anyway.

A better solution is to have one of those "rotating" hinges so the screen covers the keyboard when in "tablet" mode. As in here:

This would be especially useful for Android.

But, yes, cost is a factor for this to happen.

I would like to have the chance to try it  ;)   Sure, with the current design this could be a little cumbersome, but if you design some spaces in, so that it can be hold comfortable, I don't see a reason why it shouldn't work (except costs of course).

I would favour it over your suggestion as the "convertible" mechanism has proven to be fragile if it is not carfully designed (and executed production wise), while mine has at least the "benefit of doubt".

The 3DS definitely feels more rugged than Pandora, I'm much happier to let the kids play with it.

NO.  That's too big.  That model (according to HP's website was--->

Dimensions

7.4 x 3.7 x 1.3 in
Those dimensions allow for more keyboard space.  I do like the indented keys, but I haven't "typed" on them in a compact case.  I'm still waiting on the iCP2 to see how those keys respond to my fingers.  The next Pandora will be even better, but we (as fans) need to banter around ideas so that the team can get some feedback.
