Why would they put a button on the d-pad anyway. I don't see any instances where the 4 face buttons, the start & select button, and the 2 triggers aren't going to be enough buttons to play a game. Especialy consitering that the GP2X can't do complex 3D and most people are just going to be running NES, SNES, MS, Genesis, & Metal Slug emulators.
The boottime was a little slow but unless you plan on turning on the GP2X, playing for 2 minutes, than turning it off again, and than turning it on again to play for another 2 minutes it shouldn't be that big of a deal.
