Assembly restart. Software work. And maybe our next SoC?

Thanks for this Video Update, im also quite exited for the Upgrades, and I think I will film my attempts to change my Case Battery Compartment and the CPU Board..

I wonder if the existing DBPs will still working on Rockchip..

yay! official news at 4a.m.!
a good plan to move on, kudos to askarus for helping out again.
does this mali gpu have open drivers?
aaand... dragon-dog is cute! <3

Also your range seems to be much bigger than my: 145 views just the few hours..
my PC Engine Emu Video was just a bit over 60 in 1 and a half week..

ooh, nice, RK3568.

the only other concern i have with the current pyra is the screen/keyboard brightness key not playing well with shift/fn:

the other thing is pressing shift (and/or fn) to change the brightness of the screen (key backlight) with your right hand -- it's easy to accidentally fat-finger the power button with your left thumb going across.

it would have been nice to have the brightness button on the other side (left side) instead of right, since the keyboard-facing modifiers are on the right.

how easy would it be to switch Usr1/2 <-> brightness keys?

Very cool video wall! I think the dog does not like the fact that Evil Dragon talks more to his electronics than to him ;).
I've been waiting so long for my Pyra already, never the less I can't wait to hold it in my hands the closer the delivery comes.

I could also make such a Background, if this Side also works whit the XBOX, as i think the Phytium might be a bit too loud just to driven the Background Wall ^^but then i need something to raise the Pyra, so maybe just a Background from a few of my Gameboys..

Increase, Decrease the Background Lightning works for me though, but i have sometimes the Issue that i hit the screenshot button when i want to type esc.. ..

Umm... I never hat that issue before :O
But if you don't mind opening it, there might be a nice fix for you: Remove the cap on top of the power button to lower it so you can't accidentally hit it :)

Some might, I don't think my ports are compiled against anything specific to the OMAP5, but I know the 3D games are likely compiled against the OMAP5 SGX libraries.

Yes, and if it turns out it doesn't support 32-bit mode, or we decide not to use it, even straight 2D games won't work. But I think in the main so far all the developers of those game DBPs are still around in the main, and it won't be too much work to rebuild them for 64-bit once the magic opetions have been documented at least.

Very exciting! The Rockchip solution sounds like a really good path for the project. Lots of external support and less effort that the team has to do in house. I'd be happy to pay the price to support that as well, if you ever sell devboard for the Rockchip to test it out for those of us with Pyras, I'd be happy to be first on the list!

Glad I was able to contribute with the clock frequency!

Thanks for the update ED!

Awesome dog. Looks like an english sheepdog, what do you call them in German? It's also smart that it seems to understand you if you tell it 'it's okay' in english, unless you normally speak to it in english. Although I guess okay by now is probably a common German word. I know that 50 years ago over here it was considered an americanism.

Border Collie I'd say...? (sheepdog is "Schäfferhund" in German, "chien de berger" in French)

And yes, awesome dog, and awesome news of course !

Yes, you're quite right. The english sheepdog is a shaggy thing most famous in these parts as the dulux dog. Border collies are often used for sheep trials though, and are a common farm dog.

Though, by Schäferhund Germans usually mean German Shepherd - for other shepherds one might wanna be more specific.

So we might need a split repo or an option to upload two versions one for each chip?
