Anyone Received Their Email Confirmation Yet?

[/quote]
That's ok. I'm 34 and I still feel the same way. Hopefully they'll send mine in the next day or two as well

Yep I'm 34 to. Can't wait to get hold of the gp2x. Reminds me of the day I got my VIC-20.

I ordered the 15th but still got no mail. Except for the one that they'd start shipping on friday or monday.

I'm from Holland.. anyone else from non-UK who got a confirmation yet?

LOL you youngsters ;) 34 bah, swap the digits around and you'll be close. Waiting for mine too since early last week, 16th I think I placed the order. Well excited to see a BBC emulator, didn't have these at school as I'm too old  Bought one during my last year of the degree in '83.

But I'm with you all, impatiently waiting for my new toy

PS. co.uk order too

I know the feeling! Once it's got the stage where something's 'nearly here', I'm exactly the same! Get yourself the frontend for gngeo2x downloaded and ready (plus all the necessary bios files!) :)
*chuckles* I used to be just like you, Ste... after four kids, however, I've learned to just let it be. As long as I know it's coming -- I can't stand not knowing if something is going to happen or not. But if I know it's a sure thing (babies have a tendancy to be born, EvilDragon has a tendancy to ship GP2X's reliably), I can just be.

My first & second child, I was beside myself with anticipation as the due date got nearer. I never knew what gender was going to come out (after 3 girls though, I figured the 4th would be one too - then I had a boy).

That said -- impatient anticipation is not bad. It can actually increase your enjoyment of a thing, presuming it works out of the box (or the mommy). So with child #3 and #4, while I didn't let myself get so hyper it hurt, I still let myself enjoy the anticipation. It rubbed off nicely on my kids because my older daughters really enjoyed their new siblings (still do).

But I digress!
I'm good at that.

My oldest daughter (9yo) is looking forward to my GP2X. I know because she keeps asking me when it's going to ship. I showed her what games it can emulate and that it could easily hold 90+ games, and given how careful she is with things I'd let her use it on car-rides (I'm the only person who can drive in the family). That was all she needed. That and she helped me draw some stuff for a side-project I'm working on for GPL art for GP2X RPG games. So she wants it too.

OMG I've digressed again.

It's a scoobynet invasion :D

I wrote a ton of (educational) software for the bbc micro back in the days when my dad was a teacher, (and before I started having to earn a living). Brings back loads of fond memories... B)

No email yet though. Getting impatient - I want it now :D

:D I love the comparison, and it reminds me of something that was said to me earlier this week. I mentioned to my girlfriend that I probably wouldn't use it outside until I got the screen protector on it... Her response: "Keeping it indoors for a week? Covers for it? It not a bloody baby, you know!"

Still no email confirmation!!!!!

Thats two of my friends got theirs now even through they ordered at least a week after me!

Its just annoying that I keep getting told that I should expect confirmation either 'today or tomorrow' and it still doesn't arrive.

You better believe it. :p

You can blame Hounslow for this. :D

E-maile sales@cdworld.co.uk. And got the following from them:

Please accept my apologies that you have not received an email to keep
you up to date with the status of your order. it is being despatched
tomorrow - the delay is due to the major server problems we experienced
on Monday.

Kind regards
Jacquelyn

So cross fingers I'll have mine by the weekend. gp32_console

Suppose I could be wrong, I paid for 24hr delivery but I'm assuming that nothing will happen over the weekend and it's a Bank Holiday on Monday.
