Anyone into visual kei or japanese rock or metal? I like stuff lke Dir en grey (now trying to break into the US), X Japan, gazette, Malice Mizer and suff. I lke Japanese metal like the legendary Loudness and another band called Metal safari.

I like Malice Mizer, Dir en Grey, X Japan, and hide... everything else is pretty weak. Malice is my favourite though. Mana's hot as fuck.

I don't really know of a whole lot of Japanese music, but Envy are really good. Guitar Wolf are ok too, but I think they're fairly well known for a Japanese punk band. I don't think either of them fit in with the whole visual kei thing, though.

I've never heard of them before. The video was "interesting", to say the least. I found the music fairly unremarkable though. It was ok, but there were plenty of American and British bands that did the no-testes-falsetto much better.

recently a buddy told me that dir en grey was rather good. i got a few songs of them, but i have to say it's not my kind of music. But Saeko is rather good. allthough i think that doesn't count to that genre, as she's living in Germany.

EDIT: haha, seems that Saeko is also a J-Pop artists name... Of course I am not listening to J-Pop. The Saeko I am listening to is more of the Power-Speed-Metal type :D

Only j-metal group I'm familiar with is Animetal, which, as you could guess, covers anime tracks, got their whole discography. :p

Also, I like High and mighty color (songs like ichirin no hana, ...)
