Apparently the lastest version of the PCE emu for PSP, v 0.7, has support for CD-ROM 2 games, but since the readme and menu's are all in japanese, I can't figure out how to get them working :( Anyone figure this one out yet??

EDIT: Holy crap okay I found a tutorial for it!

"Got this from "duckroll" on another forum, helped me, hope it helps you too:

"Ok I've been playing Dracula X on my PSP so sorry for the delayed response. Here's how to get CDs working on PCE 0.7:

1) Get the SuperCD 3.0 rom. I'm assuming you actually own a PC Engine and have the card, so just dump it using the card.

2) Create a subfolder in your PCE folder. It can be called anything, mine's called CD.

3) Now since we all own the original PC Engine Super CDs, we'll be using those right? No downloading here guys. Grab discjuggler and dump all the music tracks into mp3s and the data tracks into .iso files.

4) Make sure all the files are labeled by track. So 01.mp3, 02.iso, 03.mp3, 04.mp3, etc.

5) Create a TOC file or download one. It should be perfectly legal since it's not actually data from the CD. Here's a site with tons of TOC info for PCE games: http://necstasy.emunova.net/ (NO ROMS, NOTHING TO PIRATE HERE FOLKS, BUY GAMES)

6) The TOC file can be of any filename but must end with a .toc extension. I use cd.toc for convenience. The TOC should look something like this (for example, this is Dracula X):

Track 01 Audio 00:02:00 LBA=000000
Track 02 Data 00:53:65 LBA=003890
Track 03 Audio 03:11:14 LBA=014189
Track 04 Audio 04:57:48 LBA=022173
Track 05 Audio 06:00:67 LBA=026917
Track 06 Audio 07:37:09 LBA=034134
Track 07 Audio 09:00:61 LBA=040411
Track 08 Audio 10:05:35 LBA=045260
Track 09 Audio 13:03:60 LBA=058635
Track 10 Audio 14:47:28 LBA=066403
Track 11 Audio 17:28:05 LBA=078455
Track 12 Audio 19:09:58 LBA=086083
Track 13 Audio 21:40:18 LBA=097368
Track 14 Audio 24:07:69 LBA=108444
Track 15 Audio 27:47:51 LBA=124926
Track 16 Audio 30:13:10 LBA=135835
Track 17 Audio 33:28:56 LBA=150506
Track 18 Audio 34:58:29 LBA=157229
Track 19 Audio 36:40:49 LBA=164899
Track 20 Audio 38:40:50 LBA=173900
Track 21 Audio 42:42:12 LBA=192012
Track 22 Data 46:58:62 LBA=211262

7) Now start up the PCE emu, open the Super CD-ROM card rom.

8) If you get "CD ERROR", simply go to the options, enter CD CHANGE, and find and select the cd.toc file. After that just hit run and the game should start."

I found that in the TOC file only the general file type (Audio, Data) needs to be correct, the LBA stuff seems to be negelected."

From the psp hacker boards. Gonna try this right now.

Holy crap it works!!!

Dracula X on PSP f'ing SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!

the CD sound is a little messed up, though I read that if you try setting up the MP3's different ways it gets better, like putting it in mono, or trying different bitrates. But it plays PERFECTLY.

Oh and for some reason the digital sound isn't working... like voices that aren't CD sound (the PCE's DAC basically). Odd since those digital sounds work in regular PCE games on this emu.

nope :D Dracula X works almost flawlessly, and only takes up about 80mb on my memory stick (thank god for MP3 support!).

Only other game I was able to get working was Spriggan Mk. II. Also works great.

I have other games but can't get them working, though they'll play on Magic Engine on my PC.

These same games won't work on my Xbox PCE emu either, so it's a problem with the games.

I'm ripping some of the other CD games I have right now... I only have a few unfortunately :( but I'll let you know how it goes.

EDIT: games confirmed working so far:

Dracula X (runs perfect except the music plays a little scratchy, and the digital voice samples don't play)

Spriggan 2 (runs perfect except music during game won't play, odd since you can go to the options screen and play the music from there)

4 in 1 game with Gates of Thunder (perfect except picking Bonks Revenge causes PSP to lock)

Star Parodia (perfect)

Ai Cho Aniki (perfect)

Got a couple more to try but I'm tired and going to sleep for now :)

No Sapphire won't work, the reason being Sapphire is an Arcade Card game. The current emu only supports up to Super CD-ROM 2. Arcade Card games were friggin amazing for their time, and put the PCE CD above the SNES in terms of power IMO.

Arcade Card games don't work on the Xbox PCE Emu either (unless it's been updated in the last couple months?)... I actually have Sapphire and the only way I can play it is via Magic Engine on PC.

I might get a 1gb stick for things like this and emulation in general...but if emulation dies on the PSP due to those Sony Bastards, my 512mb will remian enough.

I might just get some ram for my PC so I can have Battlefield 2 going full blast.

yeah so far every game I have works except Sapphire for the reason mentioned above.

Most of them have some sort of sound bug though... I hope an update comes soon that fixes some of these bugs.
