Cool vid, but I'm a bit surprised a fella smart enough to invent a camera system like that, couldn't work out why a light beam traveling away from the camera would appear slower than a light beam traveling towards the camera.
He does explain it later in the video. So I guess, raising the question was for teasers?

Sometimes the obvious is hard to see. Plus as far as I know we actually never confirmed light has a fixed speed in all directions. While it makes sense, sending a laser pulse to the moon and back only shows an average speed in both directions.

Shouldn't an object with a width, when moving from left to right through one's field of view, seem narrower/wider than when moving in the other direction, iff lightspeed was direction-dependent? (Since the light from one edge of the object hits your lense at a different angle than the light from the other edge.)

At the speed of light you wouldn't see a difference between 101% or 99% speed I guess, especially in a local setting where the distance is tiny. That's why a super-highspeed camera is useful so you can observe.
Also, the light you can observe on the camera actually is not the light traveling between spot A->B. The light you observe has bounced of air or dust causing it to move into the direction of the camera. It shouldn't influence the speed measurement itself, but it shows there are multiple variables in such a 'simple' test to determine the speed of light.
