Well as it’s an German English Training Workpaper it’s makes sense: German Teachers had to copy then back then as the Schools ditnt got the money to provide enough books for the Class, and copy’s are also expensive.. so b/w copies are quite common there..

Cost cutting, so helpful to reduce the amount of vocabulary to learn...indeed, lesson of today is, there is apparently nothing but black, white and grey in English ;)
I've been knowing this of course since the Edgar Wallace parody "Der Wi..er" (movie from 2004):

As long as the teacher can afford a pen, the teacher could have written "gelb", "brün", "rot", "grün", "blau", usw. before photocopying the color page in black and white...
 
Or: Let the Shool - Boys and Shool Girls color them themself, but they have to write them the Name of the Color in English , and for more points: also in French and Latin ^^

German Shools got also quite long these "Overhead Projector" things where other Countrys allready got Digital Screens to show the Stuff..
