I finally got a chance to fire up my GP2X this weekend and load Myriad. I am IMPRESSED with the progress Fluffy. :)
This game is getting really engrossing! I wish I was better at it - only 11,430 so far as a high score.
Great work!! :D
Woot! Thanks a ton. :) My Virtual Lynx is back up and running. :)
BTW - I see a lot of people in this thread still have their Lynx and love playing it "for real" instead of emulated. I feel the same way about my Neo Geo Pocket Color. :)
It is running FW 2.0.0. It's never froze before when we had it. He did pay for insurance but I'm hoping to not have to do that since it would take a while for them to cut a check(or whatever they do). The cards were formatted FAT32 clean before I shipped it.
Maybe the batteries aren't up to...
My son decided he didn't want a GP2X for his birthday so I sold it. It was working fine when it left here. The person that received it sent me this today:
I received it yesterday. Turned it on and it freezes
at the green loading screen. Also, the power switch is
loose and blurs the screen when...
I don't believe the author has actively acknowledged the posts on this board but probably knows about the issue(anyone heard?). It also seems like most people ARE getting this to run properly. Not sure why I cannot though.
I'm hoping someone could be kind enough to send me a copy of the...
I am also experiencing this issue. I formatted my 512MB card and put just the Lynx emulator on it with images and the lynxboot.img. Still hangs. Using GMenu2X or the standard menu - still hangs. Not overclocking at all or playing with the RAM.
That particular program that didn't require the GTA disc was 2.71 only. The firmware for upgrading to 2.71 was on the site also so I downloaded both, upgraded to 2.71 and ran the program to downgrade to 1.5.
Of course Steve-O has a great point also. Why chance the brick if you don't have to? :)
I found a downgrader that was advertised as "the easiest downgrader available" on PSP Hacks. It didn't require the GTA disc(which I will never own - piece of $%#^ game). Only requirement was it was a 2.71 downgrader. The site also had the 2.71 upgrade archived.
I upgraded to 2.71 and ran the...
Mine's just obvious :)
Classic Gamer - lover of all video games from Pong and Space War to XBox 360... but NOT the PS3!! Mwuahahaha!!! It started when my father brought a new Atari 2600 home back in 1977 and we had a brand new home computer - TI994/a - in 1981 with all the toys!
I've been...
I found this to be a minor annoyance back in 0.2(ish) so I just didn't fill in the title. I use the description instead.
Example Poker2x:
title= <-- this is a blank space
description=Texas Hold'Em 2X
icon=icons/poker2x.png
exec=/mnt/sd/games/poker2x/poker2x.gpe
No titles cluttering the screen...
Got a quick question Ryo -
Does the GMenu2x program limit the number of files launched per menu? Was just curious as I just hit 35 homebrew in my Games menu. :)
(I know I can just make another section like "Games2" or something clever like that but was just curious.)
Woah, woah, woah...hang on a sec. :) The RF switch doesn't have a switch at all? It doens't have a slider switch for TV and GAME? If you're using one of the newer RF adapters(like for a Nintendo or Sega Genesis) those are powered by the console but the Atari 2600 doesn't put out enough to switch...
