I've just spotted a problem with these 2 add-ons: You can't use them at the same time.
Well done GPH. ;)
I moved this question from another post (as this one seems more apt):
Could a (cross wired) cable be made so I can connect my Wiz to my old GP2X cradle, so I can can use all the functions...
I had exactly the same problem when I uninstalled Win2X last night.
I found out my 1GB SD (not SDHC) card with the 1.2.1 firmware on, and restarted the Wiz while holding the R button (as I've had to do too many times before) but this time the 'Firmware Upgraging' screen popped up for a split...
Thanks for the update, I've been playing this to death. :)
I've got a few suggestions for the next version:
1. Could RESTART be added to the in game menu between CONTINUE GAME and BACK TO MENU.
2. On the YOU LOSE! screen could all the flags be shown instead of just the ones on the numbered...
All the firmwares can be downloaded from here: http://dl.openhandhelds.org/cgi-bin/gp2x.cgi
Just make sure you use the right one for your model. (I think you need the '4.0.2' one for your F200 B, the '4.0.0' one is for the older F200 not the B model)
Good luck, Neil
Yes, you're right neither SEARCH (STICK) or REST (L+STICK) seem to be working (on the DO menu), this is probably due to the Wiz not having a stick-click button.
Cheers, Neil
I found this Magic the Gathering game while browsing the web:
It's currently on the Sony PSP, Windows, Linux and MacOS.
The source is available and there's a page about it here: http://code.google.com/p/wagic/
Is there any way this be ported to the Wiz?
Cheers, Neil :)
Edit: Oh no, I just...
Thanks for porting this. :)
A quick question will it support the touchscreen and the music pack? (as the GP2X version did)
I've also found an icon for it:
Looking forward to seeing it up on the archive.
Cheers, Neil
PS. A port of Chaos2X would be nice. ;)
I forgot about this one, I used to play it for hours on the PC.
I see it's been attempted on the GP2X: http://www.gp32x.de/board/index.php?/topic/32410-wip-help-wanted-porting-battle-for-wesnoth and ported (successfully?) onto the Pandora...
GMU v0.7.1 has now been released. :)
I've updated the archive (both Wiz & GP2X), hopefully it will update correctly this time!
Cheers, Neil
Edit: The archive has now been updated: http://dl.openhandhelds.org/cgi-bin/wiz.cgi?0,0,0,0,6,166 (GP2X...
Excellent job so far. :)
But I would also prefer B (and A) as the 'action' button, X for the 'back' button and L, R & Y (not at the same time) mapped for the 'flag' button.
Looking forward to the next release.
Cheers, Neil
Thanks for another excellent emulator, everything seems fine apart from sometimes bits of the screen are left behind on the left & right hand sides of the screen after loading a game and a few other little niggles mainly about the menu screens and the trouble after exiting which I've mentioned...
Thanks for the replies. :)
I don't think it can be the headphone jack causing the problem because when headphones are inserted the TV out sound stops and resumes when they're unplugged.
Cheers, Neil
I received my adaptor today. (3.3V 2.5A) I'm using this instead of batteries now and I've still got the same problem with the speakers.
I'll send a PM to EvilDragon & to Craigix, hopefully one of them has seen this problem before and can help.
Cheers, Neil
Edit: Craigix has replied but can't...
Thanks for the advice. :)
I tried turning the GP2X on while in the cradle, all I get is sound from the TV.
I'm still awaiting my S-video cable and I've ordered an AC adapter, I'll try both of those before I get in touch with EvilDragon or Craigx.
Cheers, Neil
Edit: I received my S-video to...
I reopened my F200( B ) again and checked the speakers, they're both working. (Also the TV out sound cuts out when the headphones are plugged in as they should)
Last night while playing the batteries ran out, I (stupidly) turned it off and turned it back on and the speakers both worked upon...
Thanks for the quick reply. :)
I'll open it back up and check the speakers and I've ordered an S-video to S-video cable, I'll give that a go. (I've tried with both NTSC & PAL.)
The GP2X doesn't freeze though as I can sometimes make out the menu screen and I can change the menus.
I'll let you...
Hi, I'm new to the GP2X forums (but an old hand on the Wiz one!)
I recently bought a used F200 and cradle but I'm having a few problems with both of them:
1. The F200 isn't giving out any sound from either of the speakers but there's sound from the headphones (when plugged in) and from the TV...
