    Ajack's Menu Bar/icon Collection

Thanks for the feedback guys! Before I do anything else, I need to acknowledge 'deleket' (http://deleket.deviantart.com/), the guy who created many of the controller illustrations I've used in my bars. He does great work! Sure :) Post away and I'll see what I can do. Thanks mate :) Ok...

    Ajack's Menu Bar/icon Collection

Being the obsessive compulsive type I am, I figured I ought to have a coordinated look for my Caanoo game shortcuts. Thusly: For the record, I realise that my attempt to 'brand' the games with the 'Optimized for Caanoo' bars is probably wasted on everyone save myself...

I Am On The Bleeding Edge Of Decisions

Wikipedia informs me that the Caanoo contains an "Internal 1850mAh Lithium Polymer Battery (approx. 5/6 hours game/video playback)". It is recharged with a PC via an included cable (proprietary connector on one end and standard USB on the other).

    Quake 1 (With Nanogl)

Big thanks to Pickle for getting this project working! Quick question: Does anyone know if the data from the Steam version of Quake 1 is compatible with this port? I'd like to buy a legit copy if possible, but I also want to be sure the files haven't been made incompatible for any reason...

    Everything I Tried Seems Slow

I can't be certain, but short moments of slowdown when Sonic loses a lot of rings does seem familiar. Pretty sure it'd be an artifact of the original console rather than the Caanoo though, as Sonic runs like greased lightning in Picodrive for me.

I Want To Buy It, But I Have Questions About The Analog Stick

Couldn't disagree more. After playing emulated games with an xbox 360 controller, I found the Caanoo analogue stick to be much, much more accurate in terms of correctly registering up/down/left/right movements. Naturally the diagonals aren't as exact as a d-pad could provide, but this stick is a...

    Gpsp Is Out!

Off to a great start! Issues I noticed: > Mariokart has something weird going on with the music - certain instruments play while others are silent. > One of the graphic modes doesn't work - unscaled with anti-tearing I think. > Initial button mappings are kinda weird. Aside from those minor...

    I Love My Black/blue Caanoo! :)

I'm with the rest of these guys. Caanoo = Great.

    Scummvm

I wouldn't worry at all, it's really a very minor issue - the sheer brilliance of having games like 'Curse' running flawlessly in the palm of my hand is more than good enough. It's folks like you that make the Caanoo worth having.

    Scummvm

Yup, the tiny text is about the only issue I could find with 'Curse', and it's far from a deal-breaker. Everything else seems great.

    Scummvm

I've just updated my ScummVM to the non-preview version of 1.2.0 (grabbed it from the official website, but it looks like it's on the archive now too) and I was thrilled to find that one of my all-time favourite games, 'The Curse of Monkey Island' runs GREAT. Speed seems up to scratch too - if...

    Caanoo Firmware Update V1.0.6

I updated my Caanoo from stock to 1.0.6 the other day, and it took AGES. The first bit (updating the bootloader?) took around 15mins and the second part (after the reboot) took about another 10mins. For anyone thinking something's gone wrong, hang in there.

    New Blue Caanoo

Hi fellow Paul! Interesting about the import tax... I got mine sent via UPS and had nothing like that. As for the Gmenu2x, I've not tried it yet but I'll definitely look into it.

    New Blue Caanoo

Hi everyone! I'm Paul, an Australian who's Caanoo just turned up in the mail from Play-Asia a few days ago. I figured I'd make a thread basically to say hi, to thank you all for the info you've posted (which was invaluable in deciding to make my purchase) and to post my thoughts on my lovely new...
