    Pandora Logo - Take 2

Just a little modification to the font. I'm not sure which one I like better. If I had to pick a logo not mine it would be no 12 by HanDuo. I just love the simple happy feel to it.

    Openpandora.org Blog Opened!

At least it's the name of the company that designed the layout of the circuit board :) This should silence the naysayers that still think the Pandora won't happen  You don't spend the time, effort and money needed to make a multi-layer PCB if you're not serious.

    The Unofficial Volume Control Poll

Why a duplicate poll? This has already been voted on.

    Volume Slider

I'm relieved to hear that we get an analog volume control. "Digital" may be a cool word these days but not when it comes to volume controls! The best thing would definately be a wheel as it provides the longest range possible. If you can't fit a wheel then you need to find a slider as large as...

    Headphone Port Combination

I would not like an adapter at all. Among the suggestions so far I like this one the best: Link

    Batteries

Craigix and MWeston, could you please tell us what you estimate the battery life of the smaller battery to be? If you want people's opinions, I think it's important that they know this too. (Edit: Your earlier post indicates that you've already tried this) I would suggest that you make two...

    128mb Of Ram...

Great news, because the OMAP3530 is actually better than the OMAP3430. It's equal to the OMAP3440 which features HD video (720p) support: "At the high end, the OMAP35xx line closely resembles TI's OMAP34xx offerings for mobile phones, but with a larger ball-pitch and lower-volume pricing, for...

    Batteries

Great... I totally missed this thread. Only saw that poll with the impossible choices  I think it would be awesome if the Pandora had 16 hours of battery life, it really would. But how much would the Pandora weigh in total with a 120g battery? Around 300g would be really nice, but I...

    Batteries

I think this might be important to consider as well: "With moderate use, Li-Ion batteries are expected to deliver approximately 80% of their rated capacity after 300 cycles or about one year of use. " So after 300 cycles, 5 hours will actually be 4.

    Batteries

This poll is really hard to answer. Define "heavy console". Define "a LOT of battery life". I think I want at least 5 hours battery life. I'm fine with up to 400g weight as long as I get that much.

    Omap 3440

Maybe sell it in two versions? The compatibility is probably 100% Anyone want a Pandora Pro? :P Edit: can't spell

    Omap 3440

Well, the clock rate has been upped to 800MHz. The 720p info is for the IVA2+ chip so that's no indication that they changed the SGX chip. I think omap3430 is quite enough for our needs, and the Pandora is already expensive as it is.

New Renderings: Hires And Pandora-res With Size Comparison

I like the rounded case idea. Lots of "outsiders" just don't seem to like the looks of the current design. Maybe because it looks too much like a crossbreed between an old 90's IBM laptop and an NDS ;) Now, if you can still get them to buy it by convincing them that the technical features are...

New Renderings: Hires And Pandora-res With Size Comparison

I like the new renders. Looks very clean and professional now. The 3.5" disk was a good idea. The Pandora looks tiny now :D Just one question, Are you really going to have a white frame (or is it chrome? ) around the lcd screen on a black version of the Pandora? I would strongly advice...
